Southern Pimento Cheese

FANTASTIC recipe!!! I followed most of the directions, leaving out the optional jalapeno and black pepper and using garlic salt instead of powder since I was out. It turned out wonderfully. Great as a grilled cheese sandwich! I reduced the calorie count by using mayo made with olive oil.

Fudgier, Denser Best Brownies

These are definitely NOT store bought brownies- and that is a GOOD thing. They were very rich, moist, fudge-y brownies that my hubby loved. My only deviation from the original recipe was using self rising instead of all purpose flour and omitting the salt and baking powder. I do not regret this decision, because the out come was a dense, delectable brownie. Oh, and I melted the butter for the icing and added about 2 tbsp of milk to it to make a glaze. Oh my heavens.

Best Brownies

Unbelievable Chicken

Fantastic! It has a sort of asian-inspired flavor. I used chicken tenderloins and they turned out great. Definitely marinade for the full time recommended. I took the remaining marinade and cooked it down to a thick sauce (cooking also kills any bacteria worries) and it made an excellent dip. I will definitely make this again- maybe even with beef next time!

Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough + Cupcake = The BEST Cupcake. Ever.

These were definitely not as good as I expected them to be. Usually I poopoo at negative reviews when so many are positive, but I didn't have a good experience with these. There was no discernable cookie dough in the middle. I followed directions to a T. Better luck next time? Perhaps precision is key here!

Hasselback Potatoes

These were fantastic! I did use white cheddar in place of romano, but they still came out great. I saved a little time by microwaving the potatoes for 5 min each (after slicing) to cook them before placing them in the oven with the other ingredients. Delicious!

Easy Alfredo Sauce I

Delicious!! This sauce is just like Olive Garden's and very easy to make. The key to getting a smooth sauce is to melt the butter first, add the cream (milk works, too), and then heat on high, stirring constantly. You don't have to add cheese bit by bit- dumping it all in is fine, but you have to use fresh shredded parmesan, not grated in the jar with the green lid. SHREDDED. Stir constantly with a WHISK while on high, the cheese will melt and be thick, then it will thin out into a nice smooth sauce. When it reaches that state, take it off the heat. This is also good with a little garlic powder and pepper added for an extra kick of flavor.

Cola Burgers

This recipe was good, but not great. I cooked these for my coworkers for lunch today and one coworker said they were too "mushy." Personally, I didn't think they had enough flavor. Other than that, they were very juicy and tender! I think this would make a better meatloaf recipe though- which is what I am doing with the leftover mixture for dinner tonight :)
