Best Bourbon Chicken

This was fantastic! After reading the reviews from people who thought it was too dry, I cut the simmer time down from 20 minutes to 10 minutes and thought it turned out great. Served it over rice and can't wait to eat the leftovers!

Cola Pot Roast I

I loved this recipe. I've tried several different roast/beef stew recipes and they all end up with the same basic flavors. This one is definitely different and I will definitely be making it again.

Mom's Favorite Baked Mac and Cheese

This is the best macaroni ever, although I did as suggested and left the onion out, using onion salt in place of regular salt. I also did not bake it the first time I made it, but the second time I did, as I made it early for a family dinner and reheated in the oven. I didn't have any problems with it drying out during baking, but I don't think I baked it as long as the recipe said.

Penne with Spicy Vodka Tomato Cream Sauce

This was fabulous!! I did add 2 diced shallots and 1/2 red bell pepper to the sausage while it was browning. Other than that, I followed the recipe exactly and it was a hit with both my husband and 17 year old son. Definitely a repeat! Can't wait to try the leftovers.

Roasted Red Pepper Cream Sauce

I only cooked enough for 4 servings, but used the amount of red pepper for the original recipe. My husband thought it tasted like a sauce he's had on etouffee at a Cajun style restaurant it was that good.

Mini Pumpkin Butterscotch Muffins

Even my husband like these and he's not a fan of butterscotch. They were a little sweet to serve as a breakfast food, but were perfect for an afternoon snack.

Pork Chops with Raspberry Sauce

This was fantastic! I think I cooked the pork chops and additional 5 minutes, just to even the "brown" and to make sure the pork was cooked through all the way. I added 1.5 tablespoons of raspberry liquor to the sauce. I let the sauce cool for 5 minutes before "plating" the dish so it would be thicker.

Buttery Garlic Green Beans

These green beans were definitely tasty! I used jarred garlic instead of fresh and simmered the green beans 10 minutes instead of 5, as we like ours less crispy.

Baked Spaghetti with Chicken

I left out the broccoli and used 1/2 green and 1/2 red bell pepper. I also used mozzarella cheese instead of what was listed in the recipe. Turned out fantastic! Will definitely be making this again!

Outrageous Warm Chicken Nacho Dip

What a great twist on the standard processed cheese dip! Since there were no special instructions for cooking the chicken, I boiled it for 20 minutes in chicken stock and the remainder of the taco seasoning from the package.

Even my husband loved this, and he doesn't like cooked carrots. The only thing I did differently was to add honey during the simmer to match the vegetables with the rest of the meal.

Oven Roasted Parmesan Potatoes

We absolutely loved these. I used the small or baby Yukon gold potatoes instead of red, and doubled the amount of parmesan. Dribble a little home made ranch dressing over these and yum yum perfection.

Cajun Chicken Pasta

This was super yummy. The only change I made was to switch the amounts on the bell peppers. I really love red bell pepper and don't really care for green, so switching was the way to go for us. I will definitely make this again.

Easy Slow Cooker French Dip

Great for company. Set it up in the crockpot in the morning, have fun with your guests all afternoon and serve a tasty meal with minimal effort! Especially good on hoagie rolls toasted with garlic spread!

Easy Gravy

We had a fried turkey, so we didn't have any "drippings." I used butter for the fat and added pepper and salt. Even though the gravy was very pale, it tasted pretty good!

Slow Cooker Chicken Taco Soup

The first time I made this, I used thighs instead of chicken breast thinking that dark meat cooks better in the crockpot. It was good, but thigh meat doesn't shred the way breast meat does, so I was frustrated with it. I made it a second time with chicken breasts and it was sooo much better! At the time of this review, I've made this recipe several times as well as for my extended family once and everyone loved it. I will definitely keep this as a staple in my stack of recipes!
