Taqueria Style Tacos - Carne Asada

Awesome tacos. Sneaking bits from the pot I thouht this was a good but not great recipe, but in a corn tortilla with all the trimmings these are just like what I get from my favorite restaurant. I followed the meat to the letter, but did not make the salsa or onion topping. I will undoubtedly make again, thanks so much for sharing!

Pico de Gallo

Mini Cheesecakes

This recipe turned out great for me. I changed it right off into a cookies and cream cheesecake, adding lots of chopped oreo cookies in the crust and using a whole cookie in the bottom of each cup. The texture was awesome and the small portions were perfect. Thanks so much for sharing.

White Chili I

This was a yummy meal both of us enjoyed. In the future I will add 2 cans beans to this amount of chicken, and increase the green chilis/add extra ground chilis to make this spicy. Thanks very much for submitting.

Scalloped Potatoes II

This amazing recipe is one I grew up with, in fact it's probably the first dinner I ever helped with as a little girl (so much fun to layer those potatoes ;). We enjoyed it as written, sometimes adding chopped cooked leftover ham to make a hearty meal. We did just bake at 375 for roughly a full hour. Thanks for posting, it's a great meal and has so many happy memories for me!

Mushrooms with a Soy Sauce Glaze

With so many phenomenal reviews I made this recipe strictly to the letter, and it really is perfect. My husband is the mushroom-lover and he was raving. I didn't even add pepper to taste, the simple flavors of butter, garlic, and soy were all that was needed. I don't think I could make this with any changes, SUPERB recipe, thanks so much for sharing!

Old-Fashioned Potato Pancakes

No problems with this delicious recipe. I chose to grease the pan with olive oil, which was good but I'll try a 1:1 ratio oil:butter in the future. I got delicious pancakes using three cups rinsed frozen hash browns: I bet fresh shredded is better but if you're lazy like me, don't worry, they're good. I look forward to making these again, thanks so much for sharing.

Creamy Ranch Pork Chops and Rice

The ranch pack gave great flavor to the pork chops. I make a similar recipe with chicken which calls for 1 can soup to 1 can evaporated milk: with only half a can milk in here, the sauce tastes too much like canned soup and the texture isn't so creamy. With one can each soup, milk, and half a ranch pack this is a definite repeat recipe. Thanks so much for sharing.

Red River Beef Stroganoff

I tried this recipe to make beef stroganoff for the first time. We were pleased with the dinner but the overall flavor was a little weak. Many recipes I looked at call for condensed beef broth or bullion cubes, in the future I will sub the can of plain broth for something more concentrated. I salted and peppered the dredging flour and ended up needing to add quite a bit to the finished product. I subbed 8oz fresh mushrooms (sauteed with the onions) and cut my beef into cubes with good results. I appreciated how this recipe used onions and mushrooms and sour cream like the classic stroganoff I've had in restaurants. I look forward to making this again, thanks for sharing.

Shoyu Chicken

I was excited to try this, from the ingredients and reviews I was sure this would be right up our ally. We really loved it! Definite repeat recipe. I would have made this as written but I did not have any oregano. I added red pepper flakes and smoked paprika to taste and we didn't really miss it, though I'd like to try making it with the oregano as there arn't any other herbs. I also adjusted the cooking method: stovetop for an hour with frozen thighs fit much better into our schedule, and it seemed to work perfectly. Thanks so much for sharing!

Cream Cheese Clouds

Really delicious. No changes to the clouds, though the toppings change all the time: it's really fun and impressive to have on hand for guests. I made six larger clouds out of the batch and it makes a nice portion to split between two. I did not use tins/forms, I really like just shaping them on the sheet. Thanks so much for sharing.

Stir Fried Pasta with Veggies

Really really delicious. I didn't know if just a little soy sauce and pepper would cut it but the flavor was great. With pasta already cooked waiting in the fridge this was fast and simple and turned leftover baked chicken breasts into a brand new meal. Thanks for sharing.

Chocolate-Filled Crescents

Fabulous. I followed just as directed and they were perfect. The powdered sugar is listed "if desired", but I probably wouldn't even bother making them if I didn't have any: just that simple touch makes them so much more amazing. I have also made simple powdered sugar glazes (flavorings like juice or extracts or liquers, and then enough water to drizzling consistancy) with outstanding results. Thanks so much for submitting!

Garlic Chicken

Very delicious! I made it for my husband who doesn't like garlic and even he loved it. My oven runs hot so I set it at 400 and the chicken was super moist and perfectly cooked with a crunchy coating; I think the 425 would be fine for normal ovens and going lower wouldn't make the crust so crispy. Simple and quick, flavorful while still pleasing to all the picky eaters. Thanks for sharing!

Shrimp Stir-Fry

This was a great meal served with vegetable fried rice. I added extra veggies (2 lg peppers with the 2c broccoli and half a sliced red onion) and in the future I will double the sauce portion of the recipe for our tastes. The ginger does add a really nice flavor. Thanks for sharing.

Grandma's Hot Fudge Sauce

This is a really fantastic sauce. My husband and I could not believe something homemade with "normal" ingredients could taste so much like the yummy jarred stuff. I did not bring to a boil all the way, only heated until I liked the consistency, and there was a little bit of sugar crystallization when cooling around the edges. I'm sure boiling would have kept it smooth, but we were inpatient: so much so I completely forgot to add the vanilla extract (still delicious). Glad to say I'll never buy fudge sauce again: thanks so much for sharing :)
