I really wanted to love this dressing. I started making my own dressings about six months ago, but haven't found a great ranch. This one got me excited; I love the idea of fresh herbs and since I grow dill and parsley, I was set. From past experience, I knew from the get-go that 2 raw shallots would be too much for my taste. Unfortunately, cutting it back to one small one didn't help a bit. After chilling for 5+ hours, the raw shallot was overwhelming. The other flavors are totally lost. I do like the ratio of sour cream, buttermilk and mayo. If I can figure out what to do about those shallots, I might give this another try, but as is, I wouldn't make it again.
