Clone of a Cinnabon

Awesome. I made these without the bread machine using the 8 gram package of yeast and turned out perfectly. I refrigerated them overnight and baked them in individual muffin tins.

Barbecued Beef

I had high hopes for this recipe and boy did it deliver! I used stew meat and it just fell apart so easily when shredding! I also thickened the sauce with a little cornstarch before adding the meat back in. A keeper for sure!

Dutch Babies II

Reviewed: Apr. 1, 2012
Very good and custardy. I did as others suggested and started with room temperature eggs and milk. Next time I might add apples on the bottom with cinnamon and sugar so when it's flipped out it looks pretty and has some additional layers of flavor. I also used vanilla and no nutmeg.

Good and easy. I used the rainbow sherbert. Well received at the party - people were spiking it on their own.

Chocolate Covered Cherry Martini

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2011
This was good. Not sure it tasted like a chocolate covered cherry though. I made both ways. As recipe stated and then substituting the chocolate vodka with Godiva white chocolate liqueur. The vodka made it more like a martini and the liqueur made it more like a mixed cream drink. Both were good.

These were very good. Cut down the sugar by about 1/4 and they were still very sweet.

Hash Brown Ham Quiche

This was very good. I made as written except minus the veggies as my family wouldn't eat them. I did have to extend the cooking time approximately 10-15 minutes to get a firm center.

Brownies with Peanut Butter Fudge Frosting

Reviewed: Oct. 11, 2010
Love the frosting. I used 1 cup peanut butter chips, 1/4 cup butter, and 1 can of sweetened condensed milk and it worked out perfectly. After it chilled for a few hours it cut fine.

Lemon Linguine

Reviewed: Oct. 11, 2010
Who would of thought such simple ingredients could come together so wonderfully! I increased the lemon juice to 2 tablespoons and used fresh squeezed. I also added some lemon zest. With lemon in the name you should be able to taste it right? I also used minced garlic instead of the powder. A keeper in my book!

Very good. I adjusted the quantities to work with the amount of potatoes I had. I roasted whole garlic for the first time and it turned out great. I added some cream cheese for richness.

Red Enchilada Sauce

Reviewed: Oct. 5, 2010
I made and used this sauce with the Chicken Enchiladas I from this site. I doubled this sauce and cut the chili powder down to 1/4 - 1/2 teaspoon as we don't like things too spicy. I also used tomato paste instead of sauce. Very good.

Chicken Enchiladas I

Reviewed: Oct. 5, 2010
These were very good. I substituted the sour cream with cream cheese and the tomato sauce with fresh salsa. I made the D's Famous Salsa from this site which is good. Instead of taco sauce I made the Red Enchilada Sauce from this site also and doubled it! I poached my chicken in chicken broth, poultry seasoning, garlic, cumin to add flavor. I omitted the water as others suggested. The meat mixture was to die for! I added refried beans to the tortillas and Mexican Rice which I also made from this site.

Stuffed Strawberries

Reviewed: Oct. 5, 2010
These were very good. I used vanilla extract instead of the orange flavored liqueur. Next time I might try the orange. I highly advise using a clear extract if substituting because the regular brown extract will discolor the cream cheese. Wilton makes a clear that can be found at any craft store or cake decorating supplier. I cut my strawberries criss cross and piped in the filling which worked well.

Oven-Baked Caramel French Toast

Reviewed: Oct. 5, 2010
This was very very good. I read through many reviews and made the following changes which worked well. I did not make the additional caramel sauce and we had plenty. I only used the bottom layer of caramel and one layer of bread. I thick cut a loaf of french bread - my 9 x 13 pan used 6 slices. I only used 5 eggs, 1 cup of 1/2 and 1/2 instead of milk, 1/2 tsp nutmeg, and 1/2 tsp cinnamon and it was plenty. I only used 1/2 cup (1 small baking package) of pecans and put them on the bottom layer of caramel sauce prior to covering with bread. After the dish baked I flipped it out on a serving platter and it was beautiful.

Baked Ziti I

Reviewed: Oct. 5, 2010
Liked this recipe. I omitted the onion and substituted ricotta for the sour cream per my family's tastes. I also mixed an egg into the ricotta to make it fluffy. I mixed the sauce and meat together and the ziti and the ricotta together. I layered the meat sauce first, then ziti/cheese, mozzarella, and parmesan. Ingredients made two layers. I chopped up the provolone and topped the dish prior to baking. Baked covered.
