Slow Cooker Spicy Black-Eyed Peas

So fabulous! I had made this for New Years Day and decided to add my collard greens to it. Not only did it taste fabulous, but the presentation was amazing. I served it with fresh hot cornbread! Yum. I also did not soak the black eyed peas and everything was fabulous

Rich Chocolate Frosting

Best chocolate frosting ever! I did change it a bit since I didn't have regular cocoa in my cupboard. I used 1/2 "hershey's special dark" cocoa and 1/2 "dutch processed cocoa" . It was so rich and creamy. Deliciously easy to use!

Root Beer Pork Chops

This was great! I prepared it exactly as the recipe states (which is difficult for me, since I always want to change someting). The only thing I would have liked is the glaze to be a little thicker with the reduction. My husband who usually only loves breaded chops actually enjoyed these! This recipe is a keeper.

Brown Family's Favorite Pumpkin Pie

Made this exactly as it is written! It looks just as beautiful! My family loves it... I chose it mostly because my sister just married a man with the last name Brown so I thought it would be cute to come with this pie's name. SUCCESS!

Red River Beef Stroganoff

We have renamed this "happy family stroganoff" This is the comfort meal in our house, the only thing I added was a little sherry, since that was something my mother always had in her recipe. I think the basil is the trick though.

Best Steak Marinade in Existence

Very easy, I didn't have parsley and don't think I would have used it anyway. I did use fresh garlic instead of dried. Most fabulous! Let Steak marinade overnight and my hubby loved it!

Apple Pie by Grandma Ople

Wow! This is an fabulous pie. I baked this and took it to a work party and it was the biggest hit. Even my finicky husband raved about it! I followed the additions that others suggested with the cinnamon and nutmeg as well as the vanilla. This is a keeper and will be added to the recipe book in our household for years to come..
