Puff Pastry Salmon

Reviewed: May 13, 2012
Fantastic! We loved the flavor and it is really simple but looks impressive. I used fresh spinach leaves as the review of the submitter recommends. Mine did take an additional 30 minutes beyond the 25 minute baking time but the salmon was not dry at all so it was worth waiting for. Leftovers in the oven were fantastic as well. Leftovers in the microwave were wonderful in flavor and the salmon was still not dried out, but of course the pastry was too soggy for me to eat (but I ate plenty of the yummy salmon and spinach!). Thanks for another keeper!

Chicken Marsala

Reviewed: Apr. 26, 2012
I was out of cream for my standard recipe (Easy Chicken Marsala by sal on this site) and decided this might do okay. More than okay, this was wonderful and I'll make it again. I used chicken tenderloins/cutlets that I had on hand.

Broccoli with Roasted Red Peppers

Nice way to serve broccoli. I did not use a roasted red pepper but used a raw red pepper that I steamed with the broccoli.

Crispy Rosemary Chicken and Fries

Reviewed: Apr. 25, 2012
DH's favorite part is the thigh, but I don't care for them very much. A large package of thighs was on sale and I decided to try this and freeze the rest. Yum, I am glad I found this recipe (and found the sale!). The rest of the thighs in the freezer will be made with this recipe! Thanks!

Oh my! Thank you so much for a worthy big, fat, chewy chocolate chip cookie recipe. I didn't change anything except didn't stir with a wooden spoon, used a large metal spoon. Awesome!

Crab Appetizer Napoleons

Good but would have been better if I'd used real fresh crabmeat instead of the can the recipe calls for.

Chocolate Chip Cheese Ball

OMG it was a good thing there were people to help eat this or I would have just sat down and eaten the entire thing! Two of my favorites, chocolate and cream cheese, yummy! I found chocolate wafers in the cookie aisle on the top shelf behind a column.

Hoisin-Ginger Beef Skewers

Easy with a nice Asian flavor. I had to sub dried ground ginger but followed the rest exactly. The flank was not as tender as I'd like but I only marinated for 2 hours. Next time they willl marinate for longer. I paired this with 'Chinese Buffet' Green Beans on this site.

My interest in trying this was twofold. The sherry and cream sounded reallly good. I had not made tetrazzini in ages so it was something different for a change. DH was impressed and wants to have it again. So be it!
