Simple comfort food and a great way to use holiday leftovers. I did not have a sweet potato so I left it out. Served with salad and cornbread.

Pot Pie

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2014
Another recipe worth 10 stars! I did reduce the recipe but doubled the sauce just because that is the way hubby prefers it. This is so much better than my childhood pot pie! Thank you Buon Appetito!

MANGO CHUTNEY CHICKEN

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2014
Wonderful pan of comfort food! I reduced the recipe for just the 2 of us and served in a bowl with a dollop of sour cream. I was very happy to discover that I do like curry, and love the mango chutney too! Thank you Nadine!

Flatlander Chili

Reviewed: Nov. 3, 2013
Very tasty! Not too spicy but you can adjust your own heat! I used salt free juice to cut some of the sodium. Everyone had their choice of toppings, sour cream, hot sauce, chili powder, onions, crackers and Fritos. Hubby even grilled some hot dogs for chili dogs too. Served with a salad and cornbread. UPDATE OCT 2014: Wonderful tweak to this fall comfort food was using half ground beef and half Johnsonville Hot Italian Sausage. Delicious twist on a favorite! #AllstarsJville, #JvilleKitchens, #Fall

Yummy Baked Chicken Thighs in Tangy Sauce

Reviewed: Nov. 3, 2013
Yummy is the right word in this title. Loved this dish! The recipe does not state skinless AND boneless but that is what I had. I baked at 350 for 70 - 75 minutes and served over rice. Will make this again!

Gramma's Easy Peanut Butter Fudge

Reviewed: Nov. 3, 2013
I cannot stop eating this disaster, I did not read that a step is missing, "do not stir while reaching 240" and maybe I need to check my thermometer. It is grainey also. But the flavor is outstanding. Worth giving this another try. I used light brown sugar and butter.

Wow, why did I wait to try this! Hubby took one mouthful and said he was “enamored” by your salad! A friend also loved it and so do I. Will make again, as many on the Buzz know, hubby was sent to the store for the ingredients and brought home a case of ramen noodles! Thanks Molly!

Roast Beef cooked in Pasta Sauce The Italian Way.

Reviewed: Oct. 26, 2013
Thank you so much manella! This is great and everyone loved it. Made the house smell warm and cozy too! I served it over elbow noodles, per hubby's request. While I was carving the beef I tossed asparagus into the sauce. Leftovers the next day were wonderful too!

Comfort In a Cup

It is comfort and I put it in my favorite cup from Allrecipes! I made no changes but did need to nuke the mug after mixing everything together. Maybe I'll heat the milk first next time, and there WILL be a next time! I did add whip cream on top. Thanks nanel's mom!

Wild West Coast Seafood Shrimp Cocktail Sauce

Reviewed: Oct. 19, 2013
If you like something a little different, you have to try this! I did not have allspice so I used 1/8 teaspoon cinnamon, a pinch of cloves and a pinch of ginger. Next time I'll up the ginger and decrease the cloves but that is just personal taste. Hubby loved this with Best Ever Crab Cakes and I also made Tartar Sauce II. Thanks outdoorsgirl, I cannot wait to try this again!
