About this Cook
I like to eat and I tend to be a picky eater, therefor, I like to cook so I can be in control of what I eat. Thankfully, Mr. LTH eats everything and anything (except sweet potatoes and vinegar).
My favorite things to cook
I'm a very mood dependent cook: what I'm in the mood for dictates what I like to cook. I've found I really enjoy making new "faceless" recipes and adding a face to them.
My cooking triumphs
I consider everything that comes out of our kitchen and people enjoy/eat to be a triumph...
My cooking tragedies
Underbaked cakes + wire racks + oven to "finish cooking" = a very messy oven

Spicy Cajun Pretzels
I've always made the old school ranch pretzels, so I had a feeling these would be right up my alley! I really liked the use of the pretzel nugget for eating ease. I baked for about an hour and fifteen minutes and that was plenty of time. I enjoyed these (and really like the bit of lingering heat), but do feel as thought the ranch and cajun compete a bit. I think I'd like them w/out the ranch packet (with some onion/garlic power) a bit more. I, too, only used a touch more than a half cup of Mazola (R) corn oil. THANKS for the recipe!

To Die For Garlic Feta Pate
This came together very easily in just a few minutes. After reading the reviews about the thick consistency, I elected to use my entire 2 oz can of anchovies, including the liquid to smooth it out a bit. I added about 5 shakes of Tobasco and a touch more sour cream. I like the consistency and flavor, but the butteriness is throwing me off, a bit. I'm looking forward to my colleagues' response to it this evening. THANKS for the recipe!

Fruit Cobbler from Mott's(R)
This just did not work me. It tasted like warm applesauce mixed with fruit, topped with an applesaucy pancake. One bite was enough for me. I appreciate the effort, Mott's, but this just wasn't a winner at the LTH house.
