About this Cook
This is an exercise in giving back and a thank-you to everyone who have shared their recipes with me over the years. My recipe journal, dated since 1975, contains several different styles of handwriting, as some people have obligingly just copied their recipes into the book for me. It is tattered and food splattered - but it represents many tasty dishes we have shared. Alrecipes seems to be a great way to continue the sharing tradition.

Crazy Cake
I used 1 1/2 cup of sugar but added 1 cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips. Also my recipe called for warmed water. I gave it 5 stars because of the easy preparation, nice taste, quick clean up and my husband loved it.

Joey's Peanut Butter Cookies
Great recipe; the milk makes the batter just workable enough to avoid dry cracked cookies when using natural peanut butter. Also I find dipping my fork in a little bit of milk between pressing the tines very helpful. At different times - I have substituted shortening for the butter; I have also used 1 cup brown sugar, instead of 1/2 cup white and 1/2 cup brown; and they were really good cookies.

Earthquake Cookies
Have also called these Chocolate Crackles in the past; but I like the Earthquake name. Easy, and delicious.
