My cooking triumphs
A couple years back, we bought our first house. We hosted Christmas Day for our relatives, and I cooked most of dinner on my own. It was a success, and now I know I can pull off a holiday!
My cooking tragedies
The first time I tried to make a roux! I was trying to make baked potato soup, and we wound up with a runny, clumpy mess that tasted like burnt flour! I've gotten a lot better at them since then.
