Dark Chocolate Cherry Fudge

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2012
I found this recipe good, but it was missing something. Maybe it was that it was dark chocolate and not milk chocolate? Or maybe it was because they were tart cherries instead of sweet? Either way, I still recommend the recipe. I'll play around with it more next time to find out if I'm wrong or not.

This was such an awesome recipe! I made little Christmas trees. They are not overly sweet and oh so gooey. I'll post a pic soon!

Crescent Mummy Dogs

Reviewed: Oct. 31, 2012
Great idea! Kids loved it for their Halloween party. Yummy too! I should add it is easier to use the sheets instead of the rolls. Just use a pizza cutter to slice it into strips.

Gooey Chocolate Peanut Butter Bars

Reviewed: Oct. 31, 2012
These were pretty good. I used graham crackers for half of the flour, used chunky peanut butter instead of the creamy, and omitted coconut for personal preference. I also doubled the peanut butter for more flavor and added marshmallows. Pretty yummy and extremely gooey. I even baked longer to make sure they were cooked all the way. Not bad.

Bacon, Egg and Cheese Sandwiches

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2012
OMG these were so simple and so good!! I made the scrambled eggs in the microwave for ease as the recipe suggested, and I am surprised they came out so great and fluffy!! I've never done them in the microwave before! I used shredded mozzarella with mine and seasoned my eggs with Cajun seasoning. I also mixed my cooked bacon in with the eggs for ease. I flipped my crescent rolls 10 minutes in because the bottoms were already browning and I did not want them to burn. Mine did not come out pretty, but came out so tasty! I will make again, but next time with crumbled sausage in the eggs instead of bacon!

Crescent Dogs

Reviewed: Oct. 23, 2012
The rolls came out slightly overcooked on the outside and rawish on the inside, so next time I will try to cook at a lower heat as suggested by other reviewers. Still, these were a hit and quite delicious. Kinda messy with the cheese though, but who cares if they taste good!

Classic Caramel Corn

Reviewed: Oct. 23, 2012
This is super delicious but very time consuming. Just a heads up to anyone going to make it. My oven runs hot, so even at 250 it was burning even though I was stirring it every 5 minutes. So after 30 minutes I just took it out and let it cool. Still, we love it! I'm saving it for our Halloween party this weekend. It's sure to be a hit.

Chocolate-Filled Crescents

Reviewed: Oct. 18, 2012
I would have never thought to put chocolate chips in a cresent roll. These were delicious!! The only extra thing I did was sprinkle some brown sugar on top at the suggestion of another reviewer. I am definitely going to make these again, but I am going to experiement with different fillings and flavors.

Spicy Jalapeno Whole Wheat Pasta Toss

Reviewed: Sep. 30, 2012
I thought this was a really good dish! I didn't have whole wheat pasta, so I just used regular pasta. I also omitted the chick peas because I just didn't have them. Overall a delicious dish that I will make again! Yum!!

Pulled Chicken Sandwiches

Reviewed: Sep. 19, 2012
I do believe these were really good, once I added a few changes of course. I felt that these would do better as a crock pot recipe. I was right! Instead of chicken I did a beef roast (as I had one in the freezer and I did not feel like deboning a chicken). I sprinkled salt, pepper, tons of garlic powder, onion powder, and instead of the chili powder I did smoked paprika all over my roast. I literally rubbed the roast in the seasonings. Then I made the sauce according to the recipe and let it cook 8 hours on low. I believe I only added a little bit more salt and it was delish! For me if something seems "plain" or "missing something" it is usually lacking salt, plain and simple. As for garlic and onion, I ALWAYS add that to all my recipes, just because I think all food can use that extra flavor. Also, I should add that while these were delicious on their own, adding the coleslaw brought the flavors to a whole other level. I do believe I will make this again and try some different experiments for some more awesome flavors.

Easy Weeknight Creamy Chicken Alfredo

Reviewed: Sep. 16, 2012
This was SUPER delicious!! The only thing I did different was add extra garlic (powder form), onion powder, and Italian seasoning. I also added milk in leiu of the cream and just let it cook down to thicken up. Also, I mixed in shredded mozerella at the very end. Super yummy!! Best Alfredo on here yet!!

Spicy Tuna Fish Cakes

Reviewed: Sep. 12, 2012
This was really yummy!! For the potato, I just added about 1/4 of instant potato flakes. I also added extra garlic powder, onion powder (not chopping onion), and omitted the cayenne pepper(but only because I forgot to tell you the truth). Also, my cans of tuna were only 5 oz each, so I added an extra can and about 1/3 cup bread crumbs, They came out great!! Thank you for giving me something else to make beside tuna casserole with all that tuna in my pantry!

Easy Weeknight Beef Stroganoff

Reviewed: Sep. 10, 2012
I thought this was delicious. I did make a few changes, but nothing drastic. I added tons of garlic powder and onion powder because I do to almost all my dishes. Plus I added like 1/8 a cup of Worcestershire sauce. I wanted a healthier option so I omitted the sour cream and instead added a little milk. I cooked it down to thicken it. Yummy!!

Smoky Sausage Penne

Reviewed: Sep. 8, 2012
I thought this was a pretty good recipe. However, it does come out kind of bland and lacking in seasoning. For me though, this is an extremely easy fix. I seasoned mine with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and some of my home made Italian seasoning (crushed sun dried tomatoes, basil, oregano, dried garlic, etc). I didn't have any smoked cheese, so I added a little bit of smoked paprika also. Still, this dish was really good and my family loved it. I suggest to anyone to experiment with it some more and make it their own.

Chef John's Grilled Jerk Pork Tenderloin

Delicious!! I made this in the slow cooker and it came out so tender and yummy!! The only thing different I did was omit the habañero pepper. Those are way too spicy for us. Perfect combo of sweet and spice. Thank you for the new recipe!!

Little Ann's Peach and Blueberry Pie

Reviewed: Aug. 17, 2012
OMG, the flavor of this pie is out of this world. I told my husband that it was like the sky opened up and angels brought it down to earth. YES, it was THAT good. The only changes I made were adding two dashes of cinnamon and substituting the tapioca for flour, as I didn't have any tapioca on hand. Also, my peaches were very juicy so next time I'll add more flour so it won't come out so runny. My fault though, no reflection on the recipe. The only thing thing bad I could say about this pie is that I haven't made it sooner. Thank you.

Turkey with Cornbread Stuffing

Reviewed: Aug. 16, 2012
This stuffing was excellent! I always love turkey and stuffing, so I am always willing to try new recipes. I marinaded the turkey in my own little marinade, but the stuffing complemented it perfectly. We love "Bobbie" sandwiches, so we made ours into Thanksgiving sandwiches with cranberry sauce and a little bit of mayo. Yum!! Thank you!!

Un Monstruo!

Reviewed: Aug. 6, 2012
Great idea for a kid's snack! I wanted to make mine a little healthier, so I used light cool whip, only a tablespoon of PB for each child's plate, and graham crackers for the arms and for dipping. I also ommited the cinnamon sugar. Great and fun snack! Plus the kid's loved helping to make them!
