Banana Nut Bread by PAM®

I am really surprised by this recipe. I've never made banana bread with honey and egg beaters before. It came out great! The only thing I changed was I added chocolate chips instead of the nuts. My family just don't eat nuts in their bread. Also, I used Pam coconut oil spray to spray down the pans. I love it for baking! I was really surprised when I found it at the store. I suggest trying it.

Polish Kielbasa and Pierogies

There really isn't anything bad I can say about this recipe. It is amazing. I have made it so far both with and without the addition of cream to make it creamier, and both ways are simple and delicious. The Johnsonville sausage gives it so much flavor. I'm definitely keeping this recipe. 5 stars!

Golden Potato Soup

I didn't have any chopped ham, so I substituted Johnsonville smoked sausage instead. It gave it such a smoky delicious flavor! This soup was delicious!! The only other thing I did differently was omit the celery as no one in my house likes it. A keeper recipe for sure!!

Key Lime Cake II

I wad desperately looking for lime recipes because my neighbor brought me a huge bag of limes. I didn't have cream for a pie, so I'm glad I found this. I'll admit, I modified the recipe a bit due to limited ingredients. I only had yellow cake and vanilla pudding, so I added more fresh lime juice. I used about 1/2 cup. I also added coconut extract to both the cake and the glaze. Omg it was amazing. I would take a picture, but it's already gone! I made a bunt cake out of it, and it was so moist. Thanks so much for the yummy recipe!

Deep Fried Dill Pickles

I think the brand of pickles is what makes this recipe. I got super crispy hamburger dills and LOVED them. I order frickles (fried pickles) all the time here in Texas. They go great with home made ranch. They are super easy to make. My only suggestion is to double the flour/corn meal mixture as there was not enough to do the whole 32 oz jar. The liquid portion was perfectly portioned. I will be saving this recipe and making it again.

Avocado Cheesecake with Walnut Crust

This cheesecake is anything but cheesecake. It is not sweet at all. Think of a bland avocado pudding. The consistency is like gelled avocado. It reminds me of those old cookbooks from the 50's and 60's that have nothing but gelatin recipes. The raspberry sauce is this only saving grace, and that is a serving suggestion not the recipe itself. My family wouldn't touch it. I followed the recipe exactly as written as well. I really wanted to like this, but I just couldn't.

Amazing Muffin Cups

These were pretty yummy! If I had to change anything though, I'd add less cheese. They made them more chewy and less airy. If fact, I'd omit the cheese all together. These make great lunch pack items for the next day though. I had them for lunch 2 days in a row. I will make these again! Also, I must add that Johnsonville sausage is the best breakfast sausage I have ever tried. Perfect flavor and really juicy.

Alfredo Chicken

I was looking for a quick and easy weeknight meal that was under 6 ingredients. This seemed simple enough, and it was delicious! I did use sliced Johnsonville Italian sausage instead of the chicken though, and I will say that added a lot to the flavor. I would have never thought to add Italian sausage to an alfredo. I'm so glad I did!! Just slice it up and saute until cooked before adding the sauce and seasonings. I also watered mine down a bit to make sure I got all the sauce out of the jar. This was delicious!! Super easy too! If the flavor is lacking for anyone, try adding a bit of onion powder, salt, and pepper to the dish. I don't think it needed it though. Thank you!!

Pork Carnitas with Cilantro Tomatillo Sauce

I was skeptical at first because the carnitas I know are always deep fried. This to me sounded more like a guisado (stew), However, the dish did not disappoint! I was out of chipotle powder, so I substituted smoked paprika instead. However, I think the addition of chipotle would make this dish even more delicious. The "salsa" was lacking, so I added red pepper flakes, a little squirt of lime, some green onions, and garlic. However, the dish doesn't need the salsa as it can stand on its own. My husband begged me to keep this recipe in my favorites, so it looks like I'll be making this one again real soon.

Sweet and Spicy Salmon with Grapefruit Salsa

I found the salmon ok, but the salsa really made the dish. First off, I soaked my salmon in buttermilk in the fridge for an hour to get rid of any fishy smell and taste. Then I patted it dry and prepared the rub as stated above. While it was cooking, I made my salsa. I did however make changes to the salsa. I forgot to pick up the jalapeños, so I substituted red pepper flakes instead. I also added a little salt and garlic powder. It came out amazing. I was surprised too, seeing how I am not the biggest fan of grapefruit. It wasn't tart or sour at all. After my salmon was done, I took it out of the oven and tasted it as is. I found it kind of bland, but when I added the salsa the flavor was amazing. I'm giving this 4 stars, because without the salsa the fish is ok, but you really need the salsa to complete the dish.

Aunt Teen's Creamy Chocolate Fudge

Yummy and delicious fudge! I ended up making quite a few batches of this to give away as Christmas presents. I paired mine with the saltine toffee cookies also found on this site. I followed the recipe to the T. No complaints at all! In fact I got rave reviews!

These were great! I ended up making a whole bunch of them to give out as gifts. I ended up putting them in a tin with some homemade fudge as well (recipe also in here on Allrecipes). This definitely will be a go to for gifts for the holidays! Yum!

Ruth's Grandma's Pie Crust

Perfect crust! Easy to roll out and has a great flavor! I quartered the recipe because I only needed to make one pie, and it still worked out great! I used my left over crust after trimming it to make stuffed mini "pies."

Mike's BBQ Chili and Honey Lamb Marinade

OMG.... that pretty much sums up this dish. I was given over 20 lbs of lamb (chops, ground, leg of lamb, rack of lamb, etc.), and I had never cooked it before. I was looking for something simple to put on the grill and came across this recipe. I mixed all the ingredients together, and then placed it along with the chops in a large ziplock bag. I left it in the fridge for 4 hours and then threw it on the grill. I will admit I forgot the lemon zest, but this had to be one of the most delicious things I have ever tasted in my life. I had to pull the bones away from my husband, because he was gnawing on them. YUM.

Chiliville Chili

Delicious! I have never made chili before with Italian sausage (I usually just use pork), so this was a first for me. It came out great! Really the only thing different I did was add a little smoked paprika and chipotle seasoning, and I omitted the celery. We just finished a big bowl over fritos and smothered in Italian blend cheese. Yum! I really believe the sweetness of the sausage made the dish. I will be making this again.

Grandmother's Buttermilk Cornbread

Let me first start by saying that I always change recipes to suit my taste, but this recipe is so delicious that I didn't need to change a thing. I made the recipe exactly as is, and all I can say is yummy!! This has become a staple in our household, and I make it all the time. My family practically begs for it. If you do not have buttermilk, you can make your own by adding 1 tbsp of white vinegar to a cup of milk. Then you stir it real good, and then let it set for 5 minutes, but not much longer (or it will curdle).

Cumin-Rubbed Steaks with Avocado Salsa Verde

I was extremely skeptical that this would turn out good with just cumin, so I mixed in a little garlic and onion powder. Still, wow, was I wrong though! The cumin gave it such a great flavor. I rubbed the steaks and browned them in my cast iron skillet, then I finished them off in my oven. I did however let them overcook, but that in no way affected the flavor. That was just my fault so they were a little chewy. The avocado was delicious with it as well. I also made fried okra, buttermilk cornbread, and steamed veggies to go with it. Yummy!! Also, I think this would be better on the grill, not inside.

Ropa Vieja (Cuban Meat Stew)

This was delicious. My husband kept saying over and over again how this was one of the most delicious things he has ever tasted. That's huge coming from that man. I omitted the olives, but only because my family wouldn't have ate it if I did add them. However, I would have loved them in this dish. I added a lot more garlic then it called for and some more of the Adobo seasoning on the finished product. It was good before, but just a slight bland without a little more seasoning for my taste. The cooking time is perfect too. I used skirt steak that I sliced into strips. I let it simmer on low heat for 1.5 hours and the meat melted in your mouth. I served this on white rice and with some corn on the side. Don't let the list of ingredients scare you. It's not a hard dish to make at all! Plus I found all my Goya products at my local Krogers in the Hispanic aisle (although if you can find or make similar, you can substitute, but I LOVE Goya, so I don't).

Spy Thai Beef

This recipe is yummy twist on Thai peanut chicken. I opted out of the wontons, and instead doubled the sauce and mixed it with angel hair pasta. I also omitted the red pepper flakes because our 14 month old would not be able to eat it if I added them. I wish I would have had cilantro on hand, but instead I added some chopped spicy basil leaves from my herb garden. Next time I'll sprinkle some more lime juice on top and add some fresh chopped cilantro. Yum! Definitely going to make this again.

Sweet and Sour Chicken II

DELICIOUS is all I can say. My family loved it. The only thing different I did was add some garlic and onion powder. I do think it needed that, as it gave it more flavor. My family begged me to make it again soon, so I guess this will become a regular staple in our house!
