Parma Chicken

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2012
I liked this, but for me it needed a little more oomph. I did use the chipotle but I guess not enough. Next time I will add some fresh rosemary - I tossed a few springs in with the leftovers. My cheese stayed in the chicken just fine

Potato and Broccoli Goodness

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2012
This is a tasty little side dish. I topped it with smoked paprika.. mmm good. The only thing I found this needed was some olive oil on the bread. I tried it without oil and it was dry.. a little olive oil was perfect

Old Bay® Chicken

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2012
This is tasty but very strong. I liked the old bay on the chicken but the sauce was a little intense for me. next time I think I'll use it on the side to dip into rather than coat the whole chicken

Breakfast Monkey Bread

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2012
Had this for dinner tonight. Used up some soy chorizo which gave this a little kick. It was a little bready for me so I'll play with the filling to biscuit ratio a bit.. nice recipe

Mango-Bacon-Butternut Squash Hash

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2012
For me this was too sweet. The sweetness of the mango and the sweetness of the butternut needed some heat or some savoriness to offset it. I think the issue is the description on "one butternut squash" The butternut squash I had , after paring was close to 2 1/2 pounds of squash.. the description shows this to feed 2 people so I cannot imagine anyone being able to eat a pound and 1/4 of butternut. I didn't even put the full amount of squash in as it seemed like way too much for the amount of bacon. So I will make this again, but adjust the squash amount or add more bacon or sausage and some heat

Skillet Zucchini Cornbread

Reviewed: Dec. 16, 2012
A pan of deliciousness. The zucchini and onion kept it moist. I added a bit of garlic and the salt I used had a bit of chili in it. This is my new go to recipe

Breakfast Strata

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2012
Tasty strata. I found for me there was not nearly enough egg. I used 1 1/2 times what recipe called for and I think next time I'll double. I adjusted the seasonings to compensate and used a mixed Mexican cheese and homemade turkey sausage

Chicken in Peanut Sauce

Reviewed: Dec. 6, 2012
Tasty sauce.. for me needed a little heat. I think the chicken was a little dried out so I'll cook it less time next time. Leftovers were moister as it had time to absorb some sauce

Teatime Scones

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2012
I added some sugar to dough as well as cinnomon and sugar on top. These could also be made savory by leaving off cinnamon and maybe adding cheese, meats.. and spices. Adding the sugar took these from a 3 star recipe to a 4 star plus

Chicken Sweet Potato Skillet

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2012
Really nice hash style recipe. Only thing I added was some spicy seasoning at the end. Do toast the hazlenuts.. there is a huge difference in thair flavor. Taste some untoasted and then toast some up... so much better toasted

This was tasty but very cheesy...I tasted it and decided I would prefer a little more tomato flavor so I added a second can of tomatoes. that made it perfect for me thanks for the recipe. I pureed this in the blender and used lower fat ingredients
