Loved this. Took it to church for Easter sunrise services. Looked for butter extract. Couldnt find it so i used almond, added some Butter Buds to the dough and topped with almonds. Stellar recipe. The only sweetness comes fro bthe icing so it isnt sicky sweet

Chicken Walnut Cheese Wrapped in Bacon

This was delicious. I noticed this didnt have any seasonings and since I am a salt fiend, I brined the chicken first. Used turkey bacon and a lower cal/fat blue cheese.. Scrumptious!

Delicious bread. I tried a different cooking method for fun and cooked this in the crockpot. Came out nice, but did take quite a bit longer.. was very moist when cooked that way

Hearty Italian Meatball Soup

Reviewed: Mar. 26, 2013
Yummy soup. I had some meatless meatballs in the freezer so I used those.. they got a little soft so next time I'll try this with turkey or beef ones. I used half the amount of pasta and added salt and fresh pepper

Wake-Up Casserole - Canadian Bacon

Reviewed: Mar. 26, 2013
Yum. I had regular hash browns in freezer so I used those, baked them up on their own first to get a little crunchy. Has regular plain egg beaters so I added onions, cilantro and red pepper flakes to compensate. I enjoyed this and look forward to the leftovers.. oh I think I used a bit more egg and added fresh cracked pepper

Mexican Raviolis

Reviewed: Mar. 25, 2013
These were delicious. I used soy chorizo to cut back on the calories and grease and used manchego cheese.. Asadero had been in the store every week except when I went to make these!! I cooked these like potstickers since other mentioned them falling apart when boiled. Really enjoyed these.

Cauliflower Couscous

Freaky how much this tastes like couscous!. My cooking time was a lot less, so watch this as you are browning.. takes a while to start but once it starts, goes fast.

Really nice.. I added rosemary and garlic - baked on a cookie sheet instead. Nice flavor. Easy to make. I didn't roll it into a rectangle. Just formed and let rise

The Aztec Five-Step

Reviewed: Mar. 6, 2013
LOve this soup.. I did reduce the steps though. I did follow the first step on the stovetop, but then I tossed everything into the crockpot.. except for the toppings potatoes and zucchini. I cooked for about 3 1/2 hours, shredded the chicken up, put it back in, added the zucchini and cooked for another 30-45 minutes - not sure of time. I browned the potatoes on the stovetop and then assembled everyrthing. I tasted it the day I made it and it was ok,.. the next day it was terrific. This improves a lot over night. I did add more salt as the tomato paste makes for a sweeter soup..Couldn't find epazote.. used cilantro

Chicken American

Reviewed: Mar. 4, 2013
This has potential to be yummy, but the issue for me was how bland the chicken itself was. The topping was nice and cruncnhy and flavorful, but when you bite into the chicken, it needs help. I would brine the chicken first in a salt/spice blend and then use the cornbread/bacon on top
