Yummy - I added leftover broccoli and seasoned the crust with herbs and salt since I dont care for sweet crust.. Easy to put together and was tasty. Would be a good dish for a potluck. Leftovers are in the fridge!

The Cuban Burger 'FRITA'

Reviewed: Feb. 25, 2013
Really delicious burger.. took the advice of reviewers and topped with the shredded crispy potato.. didn't have Chorizo. I also didn't have enough ground beef so I used more ground pork than beef..Will make this again.. and even try it with the Chrorizo next time

Parmesan Dill Rolls

Reviewed: Feb. 25, 2013
The recipe as written would have been a disaster. It is as thin as a pancake batter. I added 1/3 cup more flour, cut back on cheese and cooked this in muffin tin. They came out great.. when tweaked

The banana flavor in these is terrific.. the texture is quite soft. if you think if this as little banana bread bites rather than a cookie you'll get it..next time will add a pinch of salt and some vanilla extract

Chicken Rice Soup

Reviewed: Feb. 17, 2013
Easy Soup. I didn't want to toss out all the yummy veggies so I left them in.. used fat free cream cheese as that was in fridge. I used a salt that had thyme lemon and bay in it, fresh cracked rainbow peppercorns and added some garlic. Nice soup. Kept rice separate so leftovers wouldn't soak up the broth

Breakfast Sandwich Heaven

Reviewed: Feb. 16, 2013
Ever since I saw this on Man Vs Food I wanted to try this. I used turkey sausage and a morningstar patty beecause that was what I had in the freezer and shredded mozz because I couldnt quite bring myself to buy processed cheese. On Man vs food they grilled the sandwich so I did the same... glazed side inside the sandwich to save the glaze and make it a little neater. It was an interesting sandwich.. I liked the play between sweet and savory

Knefla Soup I

Reviewed: Feb. 12, 2013
Very tasty soup - comfort food. I did change a few things.. used chicken stock instead of bouillon, added more carrot and celery and made half the amount of the dumplings.. added dill to those too. Even with half the amount of dumplings, this was very thick. Leftovers even more so, so keep some stock around when you reheat the leftovers as it will need it

Quick Bean and Turkey Italian Meatballs

Reviewed: Feb. 9, 2013
Really tasty and healthy. This is a really good basic recipe that would lend itself to many different spices and beans. I've never cooked with butter beans before.. have seen them in the store but had a hard time finding them. In my store, they arent with the canned beans.. they are with the canned veggies
