this recipe was amazing! my boyfriend loves pancakes, and he has a sweet tooth, so this was a wonderful Sunday morning surprise. I enjoyed them, too. Thanks!

Simple Spare Ribs

Reviewed: Jul. 3, 2013
I made this for dinner. I did add a cut-up, medium-sized onion and cooked it for 5 hours on high in my crock pot instead of baking it. It was really yummy when served over mashed potatoes with black-eyed peas on the side. Although I usually prefer making my ribs with BBQ sauce, this was an enjoyable change that I will make again. Thanks. :)

Sirloin Steak with Garlic Butter

Reviewed: Jul. 1, 2013
We really enjoyed these. They were super easy and tasted like restaurant quality to me. I served mine with the Grilled Shrimp Scampi and a baked potato for a nice surf n' turf style dinner. I even put the garlic butter on my baked potato...talk about decadent! I would definitely give these a try if you are looking for a great steak that's easy and affordable to put together.

Jumbo Dark Chocolate Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2012
Oh wow...this recipe was DELICIOUS. I'm not a huge fan of sweets, but I really couldn't stop eating these. The only suggestion I have is to either use unsalted butter or omit/reduce the salt in the recipe. I used both salted butter and the 1/2tsp of salt, and I could taste just a tad bit too much salt. They were still DELICIOUS though, and I actually can't wait to make these again!

Quick and Flavorful Vegetables

Reviewed: Nov. 22, 2012
I made mine with a 12oz package of frozen "steam in a bag" broccoli and one chicken-flavored Flavor Boost. Quick and easy; it turned out great, and I'll make it again on a night when I'm looking for a quick side.

Pink Lady Punch

Reviewed: Mar. 31, 2014
I made a double batch for a baby shower, and everyone loved it! I wanted to take a picture, but it disappeared way too quickly! I thought it was very good and very easy. The pink was a darker shade than I thought it would be, but it was still fine. Will make again -- thanks.

Country-Style Steak

Reviewed: Nov. 10, 2013
I've been eating country-style steak my whole life, and this is the perfect way to make it. You can also simmer it on the stovetop for about an hour if you don't want to turn on the oven. Perfect with homemade mashed potatoes, but you will want to make extra gravy!

Brown Sugar Sauce

Reviewed: Nov. 2, 2013
Wow, thank you so much for this recipe! I had no idea that caramel sauce was so easy. The flavor was wonderful, and it was a breeze to make. I might play with it to make it a little thicker, but it's great as-is. Thanks so much!

Pumpkin Bar Icing

Reviewed: Oct. 26, 2013
This is a really good, really easy recipe that you can use to frost lots of things. I frosted the pumpkin brownie recipe from this site, and it made it extra special. It is sweet, but it's oh so good. Thanks!!

Confetti Beef Taco Salad

Reviewed: Aug. 31, 2013
This was delicious. I made it exactly as written, except I used salsa instead of a diced fresh tomato. We thoroughly pigged out and enjoyed ourselves, and I'd love to play around with it in the future a bit, such as by adding drained black beans. Thanks, Beef. It's What's for Dinner. :)

Chicken Pot Pie III

Reviewed: Aug. 28, 2013
Yummy. I use cream of chicken and cream of celery because that's that I had on hand. I also added black pepper, minced garlic, and a chopped and sauteed onion to the mix. Yummy.

JELL-O Patriotic Mini Fruit Tarts

Reviewed: Jul. 29, 2013
Because I was in a crunch for time, I decided to make this as a one-crust pie. It didn't turn out so cute, though, so I cut the pie into pieces and layered them in an ice cream sundae glass. SO, my presentation wasn't as pretty as it should have been because I was too stubborn to follow the directions. Luckily, though, the dessert was very tasty. :)

Basic Mashed Potatoes

Reviewed: Jul. 3, 2013
I, like another reviewer, would have thought that this wasn't enough butter. I always add a LOT more butter than this to my mashed potatoes...usually about half a stick or so. Although I might prefer them this way, this recipe produces pretty good mashed potatoes as written, and I'm glad that I tried them because I'm pretty sure it's a lot less fatty when made with 2% milk than the potatoes that I usually make. This might become my regular "weeknight" potato recipe to make things a little lighter...although I might add a SMIDGEN more butter. :)

Slow Cooker Salisbury Steak

Reviewed: May 19, 2013
I love this recipe. The meat patties have such delicious flavor and the whole thing is so easy to throw together. The only suggestion that I have is to use low-sodium cream of chicken soup. It's great with the regular soup, but using the low-sodium soup will make it a little less salty and a smidgen healthier. Thanks for the great recipe!

Grands!® Ham and Cheese Melts

Reviewed: Jan. 20, 2013
I made these for a quick and easy brunch for myself, my boyfriend, his brother and a friend. We all enjoyed them, and everyone gobbled up their sandwich. Nothing fancy, but not bad when you want a hot breakfast without slaving over the stove or when you're looking for a snack that's a little bit different from your average ham and cheese sandwich.

Mushroom Pork Chops

Reviewed: Aug. 7, 2012
I love this recipe. It produces fork-tender, totally delicious pork chops every time, and I absolutely adore mushrooms. I love it with rice or mashed potatoes. My BF doesn't care much for it, but he's weird. I think he just doesn't like recipes with cream of mushroom soup...total bummer, because I love cream of mushroom soup with any meat. :)

I made this today, and it was very good. I used chicken leg quarters because that's what I had. I served it with broccoli mac & cheese and corn on the cob. It was perfect for a Monday.
