Magpie's Cucumber Sauce

This recipe was great along with the Gyro Burger recipe on this site. I made this with some garlic powder added and it was sooo yummy! I made it around lunch time and place in fridge to eat at dinner, so about 4-5 hours in fridge! :)

Mom's Zucchini Bread

Sooooo yummy! I also used 1 cup of light brown sugar and 1 cup of white sugar (no more than that) instead of the 2 1/4 c. white sugar. I also sued about 3.5 cups of zucchini and I DID NOT remove any water from it at all!

Cornish Game Hens with Garlic and Rosemary

This meal was incredibly delicious! I did however do extra things to make it this way. I brined in the "Citrus Turkey Brine" found on all recipes, of course changing it to fit the amount of hen I was using. In this case I was cooking 4 hens. I only brined for 2 hours. Then I boiled carrots, celery, potatoes, onion and garlic in a water/vegetable/chicken broth mixture until they were close to tender. I placed all the veggies in the bottom of the pan and then placed the hens on top (breast side down). I followed all the directions of this recipe, but placed orange with the lemon and rosemary inside the hens. I poured a little wine and chicken broth with the veggies before the basting when lowering the temp. I also flipped the birds over when I lowered the temp. When they were done it was super moist and they were perfectly golden brown! Yum!! After it was all done I took the drippings and made gravy... soooo good!!!

1 layer of caramel and two layers of milk chocolate... yum!!! Made these and drizzled white chocolate over them.. bagged them up and gave them as gifts to neighbors for Christmas! :)

Shrimp and Asparagus

I used smaller shrimp since that is what I had on hand, but I do think it would be much better using larger shrimp. This is a lighter dish that I think would be great in the summertime. I also think it would be good cold.

Bobbie's Oatmeal Cookies

Great recipe! I did everything exactly as stated except I didn't grease my baking sheet. I already have a non-stick cookie sheet and it doesn't really need any grease for the cookies. I also didn't add the pecans due to a nut allergy in the family. My husband, daughter and I LOVE them!! I will be using this recipe again for sure. Thanks!

Brown Sugar Meatloaf
