Super Easy Rosemary Bread Machine Bread

Oh My! This just came out of my machine and am super pleased. I gave it 4 stars because I changed two things. I did not proof my yeast & I was out of garlic powder so left it out. Put in the ingredients in the machine according to my machine's instructions. Rose beautifully. Super flavorful even without the garlic. King Arthur AP Flour, King Arthur Fast Yeast, a Touch More Oil. Also toasts up beautifully. Am using toasted squares for the Spinach Artichoke Dip w/ tomorrow's Thanksgiving Apps. Thank you for sharing. I will be making this again and again. Oh! I actually mean another loaf right now as we keep eating it. Might not have any leftover for tomorrow.

Taco Pie

So I used leftover taco meat from Taco Tuesday. The only thing I added was diced fresh tomatoes. Oh and I totally didn't get the doritos. I thought I was just supposed to be tortilla chips. This is so weirdly good that I will be making it again. Some people complained the crescents were soggy. I over baked them just a bit and then set it out on the counter to "set up". Worked great. No sogginess. On a leftover night try this!

Baked Ziti I

Ok, caveat: I'm not a big fan of ricotta cheese. And I add sour cream quite often to my pasta dishes. I'm not going for "authentic" Italian, here. I'm feeding my family good food. Having said all of that - I really liked the recipe! I gave it 4 stars because the ground beef needed something. I did sauté' it with onions and garlic, s&P. I think next time (and yes there will be a next time) I'll use Italian sausage. OH! And the jar sauce really matters. Use what you would use plain on pasta. If the sauce is bland this too will be bland. Thank you for a really nice recipe!

Restaurant Style Beef and Green Veg

I am giving 4 stars only because I substituted so I can't review the recipe as written. What I made was delicious! The differences were: green beans, sautéed onion, grape seed oil, chili flakes, ginger paste - I think that's all. I marinated the meat with everything and minced garlic and the ginger. What I wish I had done was pull the meat out of the marinade and brown/sautéed then add it back in. I will be using this simple tasty recipe again! Thank you for sharing.

Poblano Chile Enchiladas a la Gringa

Great super simple recipe! I was a little dubious at first at how thin mine turned out but it was perfect. I have always softened my tortillas in a little hot oil before rolling them. This time was no different. This will be going into my rotation. OH! I didn't taste my poblanos beforehand which was a mistake. These were unusually hot. No mind blowing just hotter than I expected.

Slow Cooker Spicy Black-Eyed Peas

As another reviewer said I, too, don't like to give 5 stars when I change the recipe. But this is great the way it is. (Albeit possibly too salty). What did I change? Chicken stock - no bullion. Ham hock - no diced ham. Omitted the salt & the bell pepper. I'm from Texas & have been growing then cooking my own peas for years. This is an easy almost dead on Southern New Year's Eve/Day staple. Will make again & again. Thanks!

Slow Cooker Southern Lima Beans and Ham

Simple, yummy and a little addicting. I made these beans exactly as written. The only thing is my beans were almost done after 3 hours on high. I added the spices, stirred and left them on high for almost one hour more. Perfect! Will be making these again and again.

Serbian Ground Beef, Veggie, and Potato Bake

I am giving it 5 stars because the flavor was really great! It truly only feeds 4 people, though. Not a big issue I will just add more meat next time. I can see how some people had problems with the potatoes not being tasty. I seasoned every layer with s&p and paprika. I then dotted the potatoes with duck fat and cooked uncovered. The potatoes came out slightly crisp and oh so good! Oh and I took one reviewers idea and didn't remove the beef to cook the veg. I just undercooked the beef before putting all the veg in to cook. Easy peasy. Thanks for sharing!

No Fuss Shredded Beef Tacos

Great recipe! I followed the recipe but took the advice of others. I did not use the beef broth at all. There was plenty of liquid. Could have drained the tomatoes and use the broth instead. But no need for both. Oh, darn! I did do something different. I used a chipotle in adobo sauce instead of fresh jalapeños. And jarred roasted pablanos instead of green chiles. Love the coffee idea! Great recipe thank you for sharing.

Chicken in Creamy Sun-Dried Tomato Sauce

I've made this several times. It's part of our rotation. Changes? I don't like cream of chicken soup so I use cream of mushroom (sometimes homemade) but do have to add a few herbs to make up for the lack from the soup. I also don't like olives. I just leave them out. Oh and I use chicken thighs - only because my family likes them better. As to others that have rated this very poorly ("Too salty" "Too briny") Don't use artichokes from a can - use either frozen or jarred packed in water. Olives are very briny - choose some milder ones. Don't like the wine? Leave it out.

Well, I actually managed to add too much liquid! So I simmered the sauce until half gone and added some cornstarch slurry. Perfect! Love this recipe!

Bacon for the Family or a Crowd

This is the only way I cook my bacon! I learned from a restaurant as well. I don't use foil, however. I use parchment paper - 375 - 20 to 25 mins. Thin sliced bacon only for me. (just my preference) Thanks for posting!

Creamy Carrot Soup

Fabulous! I read the other reviews and decided to make it as is. Beautiful! Yes, you could cut the calories down with little butter and no cream if you want. Just make sure to add more stock/broth for a soup consistency. The only thing I did different was I added some crumbles of crispy bacon on top. This could EASILY be a vegetarian dish by just subbing veggie stock for the chicken stock

Chocolate Shell Sauce

This was the perfect "sauce" for what I needed. I made a bowling ball cake and iced it with the chocolate shell. Easy to work with and way tastier than fondant.

Beef Tenderloin With Roasted Shallots

I served this Christmas dinner and it was amazing! Followed the recipe to the letter. Really wouldn't change a thing. I do like the idea of roasting the shallots and reducing the port/stock beforehand. Nice time saver. Thank you so much for sharing!

Bacon Risotto

Fabulous! I didn't modify the recipe. I did however add frozen peas and some sauted mushrooms. Made me feel a little healthier. Ha! Try this recipe! You won't be disappointed.
