Homemade Black Bean Veggie Burgers

Reviewed: Jul. 22, 2011
Excellent, husband-approved black bean burgers. These had just the right amount of spice and were delicious. I forgot to drain the pepper, onion, garlic mixture as one of the reviewers suggested so I doubled the breadcrumbs and they held together on the foil fine. I served them topped with a piece of avocado and a drizzle of sweet chili sauce. I will definitely make these again. Thanks for the recipe.

Double Tomato Bruschetta

Reviewed: Jul. 10, 2011
I made this for an appetizer again tonight and this is one of my all-time favorite allrecipes. The sun-dried tomatoes add for a sweet taste that other bruschetta's are missing. I drizzled some reduced balsamic on the serving platter to make them extra pretty. Thanks!

Fully Loaded Cauliflower Salad

Reviewed: Jul. 7, 2011
I enjoyed this dish. It's not exactly low calorie, but it is a great alternative to typical potato salad. The 2 dashes of Frank's Red Hot sauce added a great depth of flavor. I did not have fresh chives on hand but will add those next time as I think they would add even more flavor. I will definitely make this again and plan on bringing it to a potluck soon. Thanks for the recipe.

Best Burger Ever

Loved this recipe! The oats helped the ground elk meat I used hold together on the grill. The recipe can be used for BBQ meatballs as well.

Slow Cooker Venison Burritos

Reviewed: May 12, 2011
Great way to use round steak! I used chili beans instead of black beans and served the mixture over rice. My family liked this recipe. Thanks!

Champagne Punch

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2011
This was a hit at our Rose Bowl Party. What a great punch for those watching their weight in the new year! Actually, it didn't even taste sugar free at all. We used Sugar Free Crystal Light Cherry Pomegranate mix as we could not find the grapefruit mix. I actually prefer this punch to the other sugar-laden punches. Thanks for the excellent recipe.

This is an excellent recipe for holiday snacking. I followed the recipe exactly, and they turned out wonderful. Next time I will double the batch as they go quickly.

Sushi Roll

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2010
This recipe is good. It was my first attempt at a roll, and it's surprisingly easy. Bringing the combination of the rice vinegar, sugar, and salt, to a boil and allowing it to cool makes for better consistancy. I used more rice than the recipe called for. And, it's important to note the rice should be fanned down to body temperature before applying it to the nori. I did not include ginger in mine as that is traditionally used as a palatte cleanser after eating the sushi. Very good.

Grilled Asparagus

Reviewed: Apr. 9, 2007
Easy, Easy, Easy, and very delicious. The grill provides all the flavor you need. We didn't want to make a mess on the grill so we used aluminum foil and still had wonderful results.

Classic Spanish Sangria

Reviewed: Jun. 27, 2005
The best sangria recipe. Next time I'd add less lime, and maybe some bing cherries or other sweet fruit. I used a cheap shiraz, and it was fabulous. For those who think it's too strong, serve chilled over a full glass of ice. I also reduced the rum to 1/2 cup on occassion.

Slow Cooker Chicken Taco Soup

Reviewed: Apr. 1, 2005
This recipe was a huge hit at our house! It is so different, delicious, and EASY! One thing to note - you'll need to know your slow cooker - mine was done in a total of 5 hours on low, and the tender chicken makes all the difference.

Asian Salad

Reviewed: Mar. 29, 2005
Love this recipe! I substituted white wine vinegar in place of the distilled white vinegar. I think it added flavor. Also, I think next time I'll use a few more ramen noodles (since they seem to be everyones favorite part of the dish) and less oil - much less oil.
