I'm a wife, mom and grandma. I've been hanging out in the kitchen since I was 8 or 9, helping my mom, who as a great cook. I lack the patience for baking (except for Christmas cookies), but enjoy putting on a spread for my family.

Thanksgiving dinner for the whole family and often friends, home-made taco fests (we have been known to make 10-12 dozen at a time)

Yakisoba Chicken
This may not have been an authentic Yakisoba (I wouldn't know), but it was really quite good. I happened to have all of these ingredients in the house and followed the recipe exactly (cut the onions a little thinner than 8ths). It had just exactly the amount of spice we like. This one is definitely a keeper for us.

Carrot Rice
We loved this! I made no changes to the recipe, but I think I'll add a bit more cayenne and salt next time.

Salmon Cakes II
Made this exactly as the recipe states, except that I added a few dashes of Old Bay, as other reviewers suggested, and omitted the butter (fried them in just the olive oil). These were very, very good.
