Chicken Bulgur Skillet

Reviewed: Nov. 7, 2011
Loved this recipe! I couldn't find bulgur in the store so I used rice instead, just upped the broth by 1 cup. I left out the salt and added a little more spices. The caraway seeds and raisins give the dish a very tasty complexity. I would recommend chopping the walnuts well, mine weren't chopped quite enough. The walnuts add a nice texture.

Laura's Quick Slow Cooker Turkey Chili

Reviewed: Nov. 7, 2011
Love this recipe! Excellent flavor! TO further cut down on the salt, I switched out one can of tomato soup for a can of no-salt added chopped tomatoes. I also rinsed the beans well to reduce the salt there too. I will definitely make this one again!

Granny Kat's Pumpkin Roll

Reviewed: Feb. 13, 2011
Made this twice now- once for turkey day and once for Christmas. Delicious every time! My son is a HUGE cheesecake lover, but the rest of us, not so much. This was a perfect compromise! It has a cheesecake like filling, with a light and fluffy cake surrounding. The cake balanced the intense filling perfectly. My son loved it, and it went before the homemade pies! Thanks for posting!

Easy Mexican Casserole

Reviewed: Feb. 13, 2011
I forgot to add the tomatoes to this while making, but it was delicious anyway! I also used regular pinto beans because hubby bought the wrong kind. I wasn't sure about the black olives, but they were wonderful in the dish.My picky 13 year old even asked for more. Will be adding it to the regular rotation. This is a fast recipe, and easy to put together. I think this dish has the capability of being versatile while staying yummy. I bet you could try different cheeses or meat and it would still be good...

Portobello Mushroom Burgers

Reviewed: Jul. 15, 2010
I made this for a vegetarian girl who never showed up for dinner, so we ended up eating them as a side dish. The flavor was very good. I've had this at an expensive restaurant and it wasn't as good as this recipe. I think it would be a more tasty alternative to a veggie burger. I let it marinate for about 2 hours.

Alice Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 22, 2011
This is exactly like a menu item in a certain "Aussie style" chain restaurant. Very delicious. I couldn't find any honey mustard dressing at TJ's so I found a recipe on this site: honey mustard dressing II. The dressing was wonderful and complimented the chicken perfectly, but if you make your own (I recommend it, the recipe is super easy) make sure you let the dressing sit in the fridge for at least an hour to let the flavor develop. I served just like the restaurant would with mashed potatoes and asparagus. I also feel they way I served was a lot less calories than the restaurant because we did eat as much and I made the potatoes healthier. Great recipe, thanks for posting!

Classy Green Bean Casserole

Reviewed: Mar. 20, 2011
I never got any of these, so I can't testify personally. The reason I never got any was because the teenager table devoured them before they got around to me. I served for Thanksgiving dinner, and got comments like, "Delish!", "Yummy!", you get the idea. Next year, I'll start them at the adult table, and make a lot more. Thanks for posting a vegetable recipe teenagers will actually eat!

Parmesan and Basil Chicken Salad

Reviewed: Feb. 13, 2011
Really loved this recipe! I normally try all recipes before inflicting on others, but had to take a chicken salad to a baby shower and ran out of time. I took a leap of faith and made this the day of the shower for the first time. It was delicious! I did add red onions as some other reviewers suggested, to the puree mix. I added the celery chopped instead of puree, to give some crunch. I got lots of compliments for the salad, thanks so much for posting!

Chai Tea Mix

Reviewed: Jan. 10, 2012
I love this recipe. I've been asked for the recipe several times and given it for Christmas presents. I do think it is way to sweet as written, so I only use 1 cup sugar, which to me tastes much better.

Greek Lamb-Feta Burgers With Cucumber Sauce

Reviewed: Jul. 15, 2010
These are absolutely delicious! I was busy and couldn't fire up the grill, so I crumbled the meat in a frying pan with the spices. Served it on a pita. Really quick this way. SO yummy! Even my picky 13 year old LOVED it! I've made it 3 times since then.

Strawberry Cupcakes

Reviewed: Nov. 6, 2010
These are fantastic! Used for a baby girl shower. To save time, I bought vanilla frosting and mixed in leftover strawberry flavor to taste- so yummy! These were gone in a minute.

Pesto Pasta with Chicken

Reviewed: Nov. 3, 2011
This was a very good recipe, and relatively low sodium and fat, for the flavor. My teenage girl made the recipe for me, since I was busy, so you know it's easy!

Sopapilla Cheesecake Dessert

Reviewed: Mar. 20, 2011
I'm giving this 5 stars because my family all loved it, and devoured in no time! I'm not a big fan of cheesecake, so my opinion is biased. I will say, for a cheesecake type recipe, even I thought it was pretty good.

Taco Seasoning I

Reviewed: Jun. 14, 2010
THis mix is wonderful! My 13 year old loves taco's made with the store bought mix. She likes this even better! I did cut back on the peppers because she doesn't like spicy, but it still retained a rich flavor! Thanks for the great recipe!

Unbelievably Awesome Barbeque Chicken Pizza

I really liked this pasta. My 13 year old girl (very picky) loved it! I made my own crust and used some leftover BBQ sauce I had from a recipe on this site- whiskey BBQ sauce (very good).

Jerre's Black Bean and Pork Tenderloin Slow Cooker Chili

Reviewed: Feb. 13, 2011
I've made this a number of times now and thought I should finally give it the rating it deserves. I do a fair amount of slow cooker recipes, so any that have a good flavor are very appreciated at our house! I think the combo of ingredients really blends well. I've made minor adjustments based on ingredients on hand, and it always works out. I love to have leftovers with eggs the next day as a sort of huevos rancheros- yum, tastes even better the next day!

Cathy's Creamy Chicken Bake

YUMM! We all loved this dish! Big hit. I didn't have any stuffing mix, so I used bread crumbs and it worked fine. Served with noodles and the sauce was a nice compliment. Very good dish, thanks for posting.
