my basic recipe for roasted or gchicken is just the best.  butter, white wine, parsley, rosemary and thyme has served me well for a life time.  it never fails to please.  the skin of the bird is alwauys crispy and the bird always remains moist and juicey.  i would reccomend this simple thing… MORE

i am a scratch cook. seaonalfavorites of course but i cook rather free style. i review resipies for menu planning. i'm a care giver and therefor cook everyday. i like to keep it fun and never a chore. i love to see people eat and enjoy the food i prepare.

i dont think i could list them all. its seasonal for me. lucky for me i have a very well stocked grocery store nearby.

holiday themes and also cooking for large family gatherings and company picnics.
My cooking triumphs
sauces, meat dishes tho i cook fewer of them know. i feel that i have totaly conqured chicken. some baking. frequent quiche. breads anything grilled. i've only had one major flop, however i was young. fav cookbook, the joy of cooking. the old one

one time only that i care not to discuss.

Slow Cooker Beef Stew IV
i have been making this for years. it is basic stew and its never fail. i always omit salt when using wine. i do add extra pepper.and a bay leaf..

Wine Baked Potato
i have made a variation of this for years. i simply cut a canoe shaped wedge . discard insert butter s&p, garlic onion and table wine of the day. in the oven or on the grill.. always a crowd pleaser.
