Lemon-Oregano Pork Chops

Reviewed: Jun. 2, 2012
I am not a fan of pork, but I wanted a little variety. These were the best pork chops I have ever made. Cooking time was a little off.... these were done much sooner than listed.

Cheese Quesadillas

Reviewed: May 29, 2012
I gave this 5 stars because it was the best METHOD of making quesadillas EVER! It doesn't really matter what ingredients you use. Putting them in the oven made them melty and crispy, just perfect. I will forever make quesadillas like this. Thanks Luke!

Spanish Salad with Sherry Vinaigrette

These salad ingredients go together very well. Incredibly tasty. I made my own vinegarette which was pretty similar. This combo is a keeper!

Brooklyn Girl's Penne Arrabiata

Reviewed: May 23, 2012
This was really good! A keeper for sure. I breaded and baked my chicken while preparing the rest. Then cut it up and placed it on top. Also used much less oil to saute garlic.

Chantal's New York Cheesecake

Reviewed: Mar. 30, 2012
So this was my first attempt EVER at a cheesecake. It was INCREDIBLE! No cracks, no flops....just great tasting cheesecake. I followed the direct pretty darn close. I was really worried I would mess it up. Especially after reading all the comments about cracking. There was a lot of conflicting advice. Mixing: I used a hand mixer. At every step I mixed until just smooth. Baking: This recipe said nothing about a water bath. My Mom and the "Cheesecake basics" both mentioned this. This is my only deviation from the instructions, turns out I did it wrong anyway. I placed the cheesecake pan in a shallow water bath and used cold water. It is supposed to be deep and hot water. But I guess it didn't make a difference. I will say in the future, I may modify the crust as I found it a little plain. The cheesecake did brown a little on top, but not burned.

School Lunch Bagel Sandwich

Reviewed: Mar. 24, 2012
Good basic sandwich idea. Easy to change up to suit your taste or just for some lunch variety. Good vegetarian bag lunch item. I put the veggies in a plastic bag and took them separately so they would not make the sandwich soggy. Just assemble before eating.

This is quite a tasty dish! My husband, a picky meat & potatoes man even liked it! I made it as is, tasted it, then added about 1/4 cup of raisins. Delightful!

OMG! So Good! Followed recommendations to double spices, sub veggie broth and sub canned tomatoes. It was REALLY spicy. Don't double spices if you can't handle heat. Was perrrrrfect with sour cream.

Ultimate Potato Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 16, 2011
Maybe I did something wrong, but I thought this was bland and boring. Also, the half & half made it too rich and kind of sickening. Gonna throw it out. Sorry, I really wanted to love it.

Sweet Potato, Carrot, Apple, and Red Lentil Soup

I thought this was going to be weird, but it was INCREDIBLE! Made it per the recipe. I have no blender lid so I used a potato masher while still in the pot. Made it chunky, think, and yummy!
