Grilled Chipotle Sweet Potatoes

Reviewed: Jun. 27, 2011
I'm always looking for new and exciting ways to try sweet potatoes and I was really hoping this would be it. Unfortunately, we did not care this one that much. It was just average....none of the flavors stuck out. Maybe with some tweaking it would have reached the wow factor or I think if I found a good dipping sauce then we would have enjoyed it more. Thank you for sharing your recipe.

Best Lemonade Ever

Reviewed: Jun. 25, 2011
Delicious! I never realized how wonderful real lemonade was. I just finished making this with my little guy and we had a blast. It was easy, fast (using the microwave shortcut) and absolutely delicious. I did end up adding about two cups more of water, but that was just a personal preference for the tartness. This is definitely going to be made often this summer. Thanks for sharing!

Blueberry Pinwheels

Reviewed: Jun. 23, 2011
What a beautiful and delicious pinwheel! The dough was so easy, smooth and soft to deal with that I may give it a try for a regular cinnamon bun. The lemon and cinnamon pairs perfectly with the blueberries. The only difference I did was to use milk instead of water in the icing. Next time I may even give a cream cheese frosting a try. Thank you for sharing this awesome recipe that is a definite keeper!

Mad Hatter Salad

Reviewed: Jun. 20, 2011
I have to admit I tried this recipe mostly because the mixture of ingredients intrigued me. And boy was I surprised at how wonderful this salad was. I loved the crunch from the seeds, nuts and ramen noodles and I loved the mellowness of the coleslaw mix. This was an awesome take on coleslaw and I can't wait to make this for all the summer picnics. Thanks for sharing!

Leslie's Salty Grilled Potatoes

Reviewed: Jun. 20, 2011
Deliciously perfect! I was a little short on time for dinner tonight, so partly cooked the potatoes in the microwave as per other reviews. I did omit the Italian seasoning as a personal preference, but kept everything else the same including the measurements. These turned out to be the best "baked" potato I ever had. They were creamy, buttery and salty which made them, IMO, perfect. These will definitely be made often in my house. Thanks for sharing!

Ciabatta Bread

Reviewed: Jun. 14, 2011
This has now turned into my go to recipe for rolls. The dough bakes up just beautiful and makes the perfect roll for sandwiches...light yet with a beautiful crispy top. The dough is quite sticky and I am glad that I have resisted adding extra flour, because I think that is what makes this such delicious bread. This is a definite keeper for such easy and beautiful results!

MySweetCreations Peanut Butter Cookie Pie

Reviewed: May 30, 2011
What an amazing dessert! I followed the recipe exactly and there is not a thing to change about it that could make it better, because it is perfect. Chocolate and peanut butter is my favorite combination and now I think I may have found my new favorite dessert. I made it for our picnic and one of the girls is famous for her peanut butter pie, BUT she even said this was better than hers (and I do have to agree). Thanks Kelly for sharing this delicious treat!

Home Made Top Tarts!

Reviewed: May 25, 2011
Delicious and oh so easy! I had pie crust that needed to be used ASAP, so I decided to give these a whirl. I used blackberry jam, because it's all I had on hand, but I'm sure that didn't change the perfect results. I think these would be great with any kind of jam! Me and my little guy had fun making them and decorating them. I did cut the frosting (which is sweet, but not overly) in half which still made plenty to frost all of them. These will definitely be a keeper in our house. Thanks for sharing the awesome recipe.

Jalapeno Corn Bread

Reviewed: May 3, 2011
What a wonderfully light cornbread! This was super easy, fast and absolutely delicious. It was not a dense, heavy corn bread which was a good surprise and the jalapenos added the most wonderful flavor and texture. I made them into muffins for easy serving. This will definitely be made again in my house!

Tortellini Southwest

Reviewed: May 3, 2011
Delicious (and super easy)! I doubled the recipe, but kept the same amount of chilles (family preference) and I think any more would have been too much. I used marinara sauce and I do believe you have to be careful on the type of sauce you use. IMO the "plainer" the sauce, the better the outcome. The cilantro adds a wonderful flavor. I wasn't sure if my husband and little guy would like it, but they both cleaned their plates. This is a definite keeper in our house!

Jan's Loaded Pizza Fries

Reviewed: Apr. 30, 2011
Another 10 star recipe! These were absolutely delicious and the family couldn't say enough good things about them. I topped them with pepperoni, onions, mushrooms and olives and used Exquisite Pizza Sauce (with a side of ranch, just like Christina suggested!). I can't wait to try them with other toppings, because I know they will be requested often in my house. Thank you once again WFDM for sharing your recipes (you really should publish a recipe book) and most of all keep them coming!!

Roasted Vegetable Orzo

Reviewed: Apr. 7, 2011
Where has this recipe been all my life?! This has to be one of the most delicious recipes I have ever made. It is so simple, yet the flavors are so complex. I did two things differently (which I don't think changed the outcome), I skipped the wine, because I didn't have any and I roasted the cloves of garlic whole so they didn't burn. When they were done, I chopped them up and added them to the veggies. I didn't measure the parmesan, but just sprinkled it on. I can't wait to have the leftovers today. This will defintely be made quite frequently in my house, especially in the summer with all the fresh veggies from the garden.

Pull-Apart Bacon Bread

Reviewed: Mar. 30, 2011
Delicious! I made this to go along with potato soup and it was perfect. I did omit the green pepper for personal preference, well actually the guys' preference, but I think it would be delicious with it also. Mine did take quite a bit longer to cook, but that could have just been my oven. Next time, I will cut down the recipe, just because it makes quite a bit, even though the leftovers were just as good. Thanks for sharing!

Jim's Cheddar Onion Soda Bread

Reviewed: Mar. 18, 2011
This bread deserves more than 5 stars! I have never made or had soda bread before, but I have to tell you I don't ever plan on making it another way. This has to be one of the best tasting breads I have ever had. It was extremely easy and fast to make. I did use AP flour, because I was too lazy to take out the bread flour, but I will next time to see if there is a difference. And I also used green onions, but I may try adding a sweet onion too next time. As for the buttermilk, I did have to had a bit more, but not much. This is a definite keeper that will be made frequently in my house. Next time I'm going to try it as biscuits. Thanks Keri for sharing an amazing recipe.

Jelly-Filled Muffins

Reviewed: Mar. 6, 2011
I decided to make these after I read the reviews from the girls from the Recipe Group and I couldn't have been more satisfied. These little muffins are absolutely to die for. They came out beautifully and I couldn't wait for them to cool completely. They did remind me of a jelly dounut, but much lighter. I filled mine with black cherry perserves, because it's what I had on hand, but I can't wait to try them with different fruit flavors. They rose beautifully and were fast and easy to throw together. I only got 10 muffins out of the batter and almost wish I would have made a double batch. Thank you for sharing this perfect recipe that will be made frequently in my house!

Bean Quesadillas

Another delicious way to have a quesadilla! I made the recipe exactly as written and I wouldn't change a thing about it. We enjoyed ours with olives, pico de gallo and sour cream. Thanks for the awesome recipe.

Tortellini Soup

Reviewed: Mar. 2, 2011
I was a tad skeptical about this recipe and even while making it I didn't want to taste it, because I thought it wouldn't work. Boy, was I wrong! I can't believe something so simple could taste so wonderful. The flavors were just pure and simple that there is no reason to add anything to this soup. I did use fresh spinach, only because that's what I had on hand, but next time I would not hesitate to use frozen. This soup is definitely going on my regular rotation when I need a quick, easy and satisfying meal.

Penne Pasta with Spinach and Bacon

Reviewed: Feb. 17, 2011
Delicious and easy, how could you ask for anything more?! I had made this several times before and I always seem to forget to rate it (and make it often). It is the perfect pasta dish if you want something fast, easy and tasty. It is light and refreshing. I do skip the olive oil and just use the bacon grease. I top it with feta and a few kalamata olives, but it is good as is. I can't wait for the summer to use fresh tomatoes. Thanks Jean for sharing!

Pepperoni Rolls

Reviewed: Feb. 11, 2011
This was the second time I had made these. The first time I thought I had done something wrong because they came out a bit "heavy." But, it came out the same way this time, so I'm assuming it's how they are supposed to be. With that aside, they are so delicious that I had to walk way before I ate another one. This time I did put a piece of mozzarella in the middle, but without it they were just as good. They took about 16 minutes and turned out perfect. The dough is a beautiful dough to work with, though it seemed to take forever to double in volume. This is going to be a definite keeper in my house.
