Blue Cheese Dip II

Reviewed: Feb. 3, 2015
I liked this dip/dressing. It was really thick at first. Unfortunately, after a few hours in the fridge, it got thinner. The follow day it was the consistency of salad dressing. Still tasted fabulous, if not better! My only other complaint is it has too strong of an onion flavor. That could be due to the green onions I had. I thought they were a little strong to begin with because they made me cry when I was cutting them, which is not something I find typical with green onions. All this said, I will absolutely be making this again!

Absolute Best Pancake Syrup

Reviewed: Feb. 1, 2015
Made this in a pinch when I ran out of syrup one morning. It was delicious! My kids absolutely loved it. It tastes like liquid cinnamon rolls. Quite a nice change from the typical maple syrup. I will be making this again, although not too frequently as it isn't healthy in the least bit.

Mrs. Sigg's Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2015
The flavor was great. However, I found it too easy for these cookies to get crispy. I prefer my cookies soft and chewy. I had to hover over these to make sure they didn't get over baked, which would happen quite quickly. I would rather have a recipe that is a little more forgiving. I'll keep looking.

Fast English Muffin Pizzas

Reviewed: Nov. 10, 2014
Quick and easy! What more can you ask for? The kids loved making their own little pizzas. The best part is how versatile the recipe is. Pineapple and ham, sausage and pepperoni ... the possibilities are endless. No more bickering over what kind of pizza to get. Everyone has their own. I baked these on a preheated pizza stone, so I had no problem with soggy muffins. We will be making these again for sure!

Barbie's Tuna Salad

Reviewed: Oct. 13, 2014
I'm not a big fan of tuna. I think that's why I love this recipe. There really isn't a strong tuna taste. I only had 5 oz cans of tuna on hand, so I added used 2 for this recipe. That's the only thing different I did. I put it on toast and it was delish! Will make again.

Meatball Nirvana

Reviewed: Apr. 30, 2014
I HATE meatballs, but I LOVE this recipe!! I am now a meatball lover, as long as it's these meatballs. Since I only had garlic powder on hand, I used that in place of the garlic salt and then just doubled the salt called for in the recipe. Also, since I have kids with little mouths, I made them smaller than what is stated in the recipe, probably about 3/4 inch in diameter. Since I made them smaller, I cut the cooking time down to 17 minutes and they were done perfectly! Cooked all the way through, a little browned on the outside and bottoms, but still nice and juicy. Everyone ate these up and they are being requested to be made again. Thanks so much for this recipe and converting me over to a meatball lover!!

Chef John's Caramel Chicken

Reviewed: Apr. 16, 2014
This recipe is a love/hate relationship. First off and most important, watch the video!! There are valube tips on the technique of making this dish. I cooked this on high the ENTIRE time and did not burn it. Don't be afraid to use high like the recipe calls for. As long as your flipping or stirring frequently, you are not going to burn it. Also, the cooking time is off on the recipe, at least for me it was. Took twice as long to reduce and caramelize, about 15-20 minutes. The flavor of the dish is like teriyaki. I personally didn't think it was too sweet, like other reviewers mentioned. However, I too agree that this dish is too salty, hence the missing stars. It was almost too salty for me to eat the first night I made it. Others in my family did not think so, though. The leftovers on the other hand were just fine. The saltiness diminished overnight in the fridge. I might have to find a different fish sauce to use or adjust the recipe to my taste. Overall, though, I will be making this dish over and over again because my family and I loved it. Best recipe I've found on Allrecipes in a long time.
