My fiance and I decided to do a seafood feast this year for Easter, having eaten the traditional turkey dinner on Friday with family. We had bought 5 lobsters from the local market and I thawed out some bay scallops and shrimp to go with it. The lobster were fresh..... LIVING. We kept them in… MORE

Chocolate Covered Deliciousness
About this Cook
I live vicariously through the Food Network. I love to cook and bake and usually end up with more food than I can possibly eat! My dream is to one day open up my own bakery and share my love of cooking with the world.
My favorite things to cook
I love to cook seafood and anything on a grill. I also love to bake anything sweet, especially cookies. I don't think I have ever fully followed a recipe, I am always adding things and improving. Eat good, look good, feel good!
My favorite family cooking traditions
My mom cooks the same Christmas cookies every year. It's something everyone in my family looks forward to.
My cooking triumphs
Cooking an entire Christmas feast for my family. I always cook on special occasions. It brings people together and it's something that I can do to show people how much I care. One day I hope to tackle a homemade biscuit recipe for my dog, we will see how that goes!
My cooking tragedies
I baked my dad a cake for his birthday once. It was a delicious sounding marble cake that I had iced perfectly. Unfortunately, the cake turned out to be almost completely inedible, but it looked great. Oh well, it's the thought that counts!

Chocolate Chip Banana Muffins
The muffins ended up having that unappetizing gummy texture, not to mention the flavor was non-existent. Will not be making these again...

Seven Layer Bars
Delicious! Add Skor pieces instead of butterscotch chips for a great alternative ;)

Best Ever Chocolate Chip Cookies II
These are, by far, the best cookies I have ever baked. I think the brown sugar makes them. The only changes I made was that I didn't melt the butter. I just creamed it together with the brown sugar at room temp and these turned out fantastic! Oh, also used milk chocolate chips because they're the best. Great recipe!!!!!
