My husband scoffed at the idea of making bbq chicken in the oven - especially such a simple recipe. He was pleasantly surprised at how they turned out. I used boneless, skinless chicken breast. Next time I will pound the breast so it's flatter and cooks more evenly.

Pinwheel Italian Calzones

I'm giving this a 5 star score because the filling tasted GREAT! I made the filling the night before so maybe that helped meld the flavors (?). My version looked nothing like the photos. Mine were very flat and soggy. :-( The taste was good but, I was disappointed in their appearance. Also, the stuffing was bursting at the seams. The ratio of stuffing and 4 squares of crescent rolls is off. I think I'll use pizza dough next time. Definitely worth a 2nd attempt.

Mango Blueberry Muffins With Coconut Streusel

After reading a review I *HAD* to make these. I'm very glad I did! I used my large muffin pan which yielded 8 MAMMOTH muffins. Probably won't do that again because I think the temperature should be adjusted and I don't want to run the risk of messing up these gems ;)

Chicken With Mushrooms

The family was tough on this one. Husband gave it a "2", son a "1" and daughter a "3". I agree with my daughter. Not bad.

Magic Cookie Bars II

Very tasty but, really greasy. I think there needs to be more graham cracker crumbs to soak up all that margarine. Also, these were a little thin. I think I'll make these next time using a 8x8 pan for a more substantial bar. These were soggy and flimsy but, still tasted good :-)

Love, love, love these! I sub ground beef for soy crumbles and they are just as delicious. I make these often for my family. I've also used a salsa/tomato sauce combination for an added kick.

Lemon Cake

Delicious and light. I'm a huge lemon fan and thought this cake could stand a bit more lemon flavor. Maybe I'll add zest next time like other posters mentioned. Still, very good!

Coconut Cake I

I followed this recipe verbatim. I thought this cake was beautiful. It tasted good too but, I was very disappointed that it completely fell apart when sliced (even using a spatula for support). It was dry! With all the rave reviews and 3 days of anticipation, I was very disappointed! Will not make again.

Too Much Chocolate Cake

I thought this cake was really good. When my guests were eating though, all I could hear was crickets. Not sure why I didn't hear oohs and ahhhs. I don't get it.

Sweet Potato Casserole I
