Banana-Zucchini Bread

Reviewed: Aug. 13, 2014
I changed the recipe before trying after reading the reviews, and loved it. That is why I gave it only 4 stars. I added 2 more bananas and 1 more cup of zucchini. I also had to bake it another 15 minutes. I had my oven on 350. I live at 4000 feet so I often have to change my cooking time.

Cracked Wheat Sourdough Bread

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2013
I used this recipe as a jumping board because I didn't have all the ingredients. I am an experienced bread maker so wasn't afraid to change things a little, and it turned out excellent. I only had two cups of sourdough so I used 2 tsp of yeast, too. I didn't have cracked wheat handy, so I used the same amount of amaranth. Instead of whole wheat, I used spelt flour. I just prefer spelt. I didn't use the egg wash and my bread turned out with a wonderful crust. I didn't spray with water either. I didn't have sunflower seeds or flax seed so they were omitted, too. I cooked it till it was 180 degrees. This is a new favorite for our family. It made two, two pound loaves of bread.

Excellent just as it is. I had fresh basil from the garden and tried it instead of the cilantro. It tastes yummy, too.

This is just as expected. It is easy and kids love it. Just for a kick, I added a can of diced green chilies. I didn't have cream so I used skim milk.

Whipped Cream Cream Cheese Frosting

Reviewed: Mar. 12, 2010
I just made this absolutely perfect frosting. The taste is great. It piped beatifully. It wasn't grainy as some have suggested. Maybe becaued my cream cheese was room temp, and I mixed the cream cheese stuff first so it sat while I whipped my cream in a glass bowl that I had kept in the freezer. Thanks for a great recipe. Country Breakfast Casserole

Reviewed: May 17, 2008
This is great for a brunch just as it is. However, because I am on a high fiber diet, I changed the bread to whole wheat bread. Also, added the powder Benefiber to the egg mixture. I think next time I will try adding fresh, chopped spinache. Thanks for the great recipe

Pork Chop and Potato Casserole

Reviewed: Jan. 26, 2006
I made this last night. After reading some of the reviews I thought I would change a few things. I added another can of cr of mushroom soup. I salt and peppered the pork chops. I browned my onions before browning the pork chops. Cover the baking dish with tin foil for the initial baking. It was quite tasty.
