Chicken Piccata II

Reviewed: Aug. 25, 2008
This was delicious! I hate capers so I loved that this chicken piccata recipe omitted them. There were no leftovers of this!

Perfect Berry Shortcakes

Reviewed: Apr. 13, 2011
So easy and so delicious. I love the technique of grating butter, it makes a perfect biscuit. I used the leftover biscuits for breakfast the next morning, toasted with some jam or fresh fruit.

Strawberry Cheesecake

Reviewed: Mar. 14, 2011
Rave reviews from boyfriend, friends, etc. this is delicious and pretty easy to make. I am pretty sure I added more strawberry to swirl into the cake than it called for, and I used fresh strawberries and added a little bit of sugar. The fresh strawberry taste was to die for.

Beer Margaritas

Reviewed: Jul. 9, 2009
Oh these are sooo good! Be careful--a whole pitcher will be gone in a flash, and they are relatively strong! I use corona, what better for a margarita? It isn't the prettiest color in the end, but I assure you it will be finished quickly. Have more ingredients on hand to make a second batch.

Super Easy Chicken Noodle Soup

Reviewed: Jul. 9, 2009
This is THE BEST chicken noodle soup without going through the tedious task of making it the traditional style with a whole chicken etc. This is 10x easier and tastes just the same, in my opinion. I did add celery and carrots, and used thin egg noodles. It is the number one go to dish I make for myself on a cold day or for my loved ones when they are sick.

Peanut Butter Noodles

Reviewed: Jul. 9, 2009
I absolutely love this recipe and I've made it a bunch of times now. The last time I made it I added some chicken to make it more of a meal and it was a great addition. I omit the green onions for personal taste, and I use grated ginger, not fresh, as it is just what I usually have on hand. I found that for me it is hard to find udon noodles in my grocery store, and I have made this with spaghetti every time and it still tastes delicious. I think next time I might add toasted sesame seeds... I think this would really go great with many additions.

Honey-Balsamic Vinaigrette

Reviewed: Jul. 9, 2009
I absolutely LOVED this dressing. I didn't find it too strong for my tastes, but a little did go a long way, so don't drench your salad in it. I used it on a leafy salad that had some goat cheese in it as suggested and it was outstanding. I want to make this in a larger batch to keep on hand!

Sweet Restaurant Slaw

Reviewed: Jul. 9, 2009
This really is just like you get at a rotisserie or fried chicken restaurant. This is a really sweet slaw, and while it is really good, I enjoy the more vinegary ones as well. I used reduced fat mayo and there were no problems whatsoever, but I happily cut down on the fat content!

Fresh Blueberry Pie II

Reviewed: Jul. 9, 2009
This is a really good blueberry pie. It was super easy to make too. I did add a top crust, and because I had to throw it in the oven with the blueberries to bake the top crust, I think it detracts a little bit from the consistency of the fresh/not cooked berries, because they get cooked a little bit in the oven. But it was still delicious, and I think that adding the top crust makes it better, so I would do it the same next time.

To Die For Blueberry Muffins

Reviewed: Jul. 9, 2009
First time I made blueberry muffins from scratch. Amazing, as per the thousands of other reviewers. I didn't change a thing, followed the directions to a tee. They do need to sit and cool before you eat them... I know its tempting but they will fall apart all over the place. Very messy! I didn't have this problem once they were completely cooled. I also used a cupcake sized baking tin so I got 12 small muffins, not jumbo but just as good! Also, next time I will use cupcake wrappers because they weren't the easiest to remove from the tin even though I used ample pam and it would be a shame if they all came apart because they are pretty.

Caramelized Baked Chicken

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2008
These baked wings were delicious! I used all drumettes instead of wings, and they were all eated up so fast at my holiday party, with people asking me if I had more! I agree that the sauce wasn't as thick as it could have been when I poured it over the top of them, however I countered that problem by basting them every 10-15 minutes throughout the baking time and I think they were as delicious as could be! I can't wait to try this with boneless breasts.

Grilled Lamb with Brown Sugar Glaze

Reviewed: Jun. 14, 2012
The flavor of this dry rub was outstanding and very unique. I was a little nervous this would be too dry but it wasn't even a little bit, very juicy. This was enjoyed by everyone, even myself who does not prefer eating lamb cooked in any preparation. I'd really like to try this on pork ribs for an interesting/new taste.

Boston Cream Pie II

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2008
Delicious and very easy to make. I also used a yellow cake mix from the box as suggested by another user on this site. Both the custard and the glaze turned out excellent and the whole thing was fast and easy to make. I definiely recommend this is anyone who is looking for a unique but easy cake recipe. I made it for my boyfriend's birthday and it was a hit all around!

Roasted Rosemary Chicken And Vegetables

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2007
This was great! I made it for my boyfriend and I for a quick weekday meal and it was delicious, more than what I expected. I used a good quality balsamic vinegar, and that really added to the taste. I also agree with another user on this site that 1 Tbs is too much rosemary. Too much makes it taste like a Christmas tree! I cut it down to 1 tps and it was perfect. I also seperated the marinade: tossed some with the vegetables and some marinated with the chicken for about 20 minutes in the refrigerator. I definitely recommend!

Blackberry and Blueberry Pie

Reviewed: Jul. 29, 2007
Delicious, and makes a beautiful presentation. I used fresh berries and it came out wonderfully. This was the first time I tried a lattice pie crust as well, which was also surprisingly easy and helped make this pie look professional! It was a big hit, I would recommend it for any summer get together.

Peach Pie the Old Fashioned Two Crust Way

Reviewed: Jul. 20, 2007
This is the first dessert pie I've ever made. It was easy, and turned out FANTASTIC! I did use the colander to strain the extra lemon juice from the peach mixture, but I think that some degree of remaining juice is necessary in order to get a good consistency once you add the dry ingredients. This pie was a huge hit, and I will definitely be making more pies in the future!

Donna's Lasagna

Reviewed: Jul. 14, 2007
This lasagna recipe is the only one I make. The only change I make is reducing the amount of sugar in the sauce by half. I get complimented on this every time and the leftovers never last very long!

Bacon Cheddar Deviled Eggs

This is an excellent twist to deviled eggs! I had people who don't even like eggs eating them. They were a definite hit and I'll make them again.

Pear and Blue Cheese Salad

This is so good. So simple and will impress everyone you serve it to. I omit the onions because of personal taste. The candied pecans are my favorite part of the salad.
