Memaw's Lemon Sunshine Cake

Reviewed: May 25, 2013
My kids loved this cake--it's sweet and the flavors are sunny and bright. I think I prefer more natural flavors, but overall, a four star recipe. Thanks for sharing!

Calico Slaw

Reviewed: May 22, 2013
We loved it--the simple dressing combined with the sweetness of the apples was delicious. I forgot to buy a green pepper, so I used red and yellow, and added some extra color with some chopped chives. This is fantastic with barbecue!

Toffee Crunch Cookies

Reviewed: Apr. 24, 2013
These ARE delicious! Buttery, perfectly crispy without being hard, with a sweet & salty vibe. My 10 year old daughter wanted to make cookies, and this was the recipe she chose by default--we had all the ingredients in the pantry. Use the Heath baking bits if you can find them. This is a cookie to share!

Rosemary Lemon Margarita

Reviewed: Apr. 17, 2013
This is really good! I mixed the sugar in the lemon juice until it dissolved completely, then mixed everything together. The subtle scent and flavor of the rosemary makes this a perfect Spring and Summer party drink. YUM!

Johnsonville Easy Sausage Pizza

Reviewed: Mar. 20, 2013
So easy and delicious! I had no issues with the sausage not cooking (this is how most pizza places do it!) and used sliced tricolor peppers since my crew doesn't care for green. This recipe is versatile also, you can add anything to it. Pineapple, parsley, or green onions would be great on it. Thanks for an easy recipe and wonderful product, Johnsonville!

Mom's Island Treasures

Reviewed: Mar. 18, 2013
YUMMMM! I used semi-sweet chips since that's what I had, but these are fantastic! Everyone loves them! I think I prefer these over regular chocolate chip cookies, because the coconut adds great flavor and texture. Yep, I'm going to have another right now. Thanks for sharing!

Sausage Stuffed Mushrooms

Reviewed: Mar. 18, 2013
These are good, but the filling is even better the next day! I'd suggest making it in advance, then fill your mushrooms when you're ready to bake them. I used baby portabello mushrooms.

Waikiki Meatballs

Reviewed: Mar. 13, 2013
I substituted Johnsonville reduced fat pork & chicken Italian sausage for the ground beef and these were INCREDIBLE! The spices in the sausage add an extra layer of savory to the sweet sauce and my family absolutely loved it. I won't make it any other way now! Try it, it's fantastic!

Blood Orange Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 28, 2013
Loved this! I used the juice of 4 blood oranges in my sauce because I bought a bag of smaller sized ones, but it came together beautifully. My husband came home from work and the first words out of his mouth were, "What smells SO GOOD?" We loved the flavor, and will definitely make it again.

Perfect! This also makes a wonderful, healthy lunch or snack. It's something my husband and I would keep in the fridge at all times, and it's wonderfully healthy. Thanks so much Dawn, this is a winner!

Simple Fruit Pizza

Reviewed: Feb. 26, 2013
All of the components work very well together!! I didn't have fresh blueberries, but it was delicious. I grated some orange zest over the top to add extra orange flavor and my kids went crazy. Very good and easy--next time due to personal preference I'll use a homemade cookie dough.

Asparagus Mushroom Bacon Crustless Quiche

Reviewed: Feb. 24, 2013
I really liked the flavors in this quiche, but it seems as though 1 1/2 cups of heavy cream would have been too much. I stopped at 1 cup after pouring and I'm glad I did. The combination of swiss, asparagus, baby bella mushrooms, and of course BACON makes a delicious quiche. Thanks!

Ginger-Touched Oatmeal Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Feb. 18, 2013
Delicious! They turned out nice and thin, chewy in the center and crispy on the outside. The ginger added a great snap (pun intended) and I loved the flavor. This is a good "grown-up" version of a childhood favorite and I look forward to sharing these with friends and coworkers.

Pat's Baked Oatmeal

Reviewed: Feb. 17, 2013
This is a great recipe, and I love that it can be made ahead and reheated. This would be wonderful for a crowd also! I used a frozen organic mixed berry blend for the fruit. When serving, I think I'll drizzle a little honey on it just to add a bit more sweetness. Thanks for sharing your recipe!

Creamy Reuben Soup

Reviewed: Feb. 17, 2013
This is soooo good! One of my favorite sandwiches is a reuben, so I knew I had to make this when I saw it. The recipe is perfect as-is. I did have to make my own rye croutons due to lack of availability in my grocery store, but they were easy--cube rye bread and toast in the overn for a few minutes. They are a must with this soup to give it the full reuben flavor, and you'll want to generously top your soup with them. Thanks for warming up a cold day with a yummy recipe!

Super Spicy Chocolate Milk

Reviewed: Feb. 16, 2013
I appreciate the concept of this recipe, but with only a tiny bit of milk compared to the rest of the ingredients, it's really a dressed up hot chocolate. We tried it hot, and didn't like the grainy texture. I couldn't imagine how it would be cold. It was spicy, but the amount of spices (2 1/2 tsp of dry spices per serving) overpowered the hot chocolate mix and left a sludge in the bottom of the mug. I'm sorry, but we wouldn't make this again.
