Best-Ever Meat Loaf

Wouldn't call this best ever. If I ever make this again (which I doubt) I would use half the meat...it's just too meaty not enough flavor. The sauce while a good idea tastes too much like tomato soup and not really thick like sauce should be, it had the consistency of soup too.

Mom's Eggnog

Definetly not like commercial eggnog you buy in a carton. Added cinnamon. DH says it's a dissapointment. Sorry

Simple Turkey Chili

Let me preface this review by saying "I don't like chili" Dh loves it he'd give it 5 stars. As per other reviews I added peppers (one red and one green), as well as another can of beans. I mash one can because it gives the chili the thickness it needs, and leave another can with intact beans.

Sweet Potato, Carrot, Apple, and Red Lentil Soup

I love thick soups and hate chunks, so this is the soup for me. The flavour is wonderful and it's great with either the yogurt or the feta on top, though I prefer feta. Great with home made bread as a side. It's also so filling that you don't need meat.

Potato Pancakes I

It's like a large hash brown with onion. Very good, but not as the main part of a meal. I though it would be more like a traditional pancake but should have known better when it only calls for 2 Tbs of flour.

All Day Apple Butter

Mmmm. I used honey instead of sugar, as suggested in a few reviews. I found it to be a bit runny even after leaving the lid off for an hour, next fall I'll have to simmer it on the stove uncovered or longer in the slow cooker uncovered. I also blended it in the food processor after it was done cooking to make it smooth.

Easy Garlic Broiled Chicken

I cooked it at 350 for 40 mins then broiled on high for 5 mins each side. It was really good. The sauce is really good on mashed potatoes too.

Best Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie

MMMMMMMMMM! This recipe is delicious. I was a bit skeptical when it said to use a 1/4 cup to scoop the cookies as I am used to using a teaspoon, but they worked out and were soooooo goooood.
