Just used the spice combo for my own taco seasoning. Great proportions ......no need to buy taco seasoning anymore!

Fresh Strawberry Upside Down Cake

Reviewed: Mar. 18, 2012
This recipe is fantastic!! I used fresh strawberries and crushed them in the pan with a slotted spoon so I'd have the juice. I used while cake mix with pudding in the mix. Put the batter together using the directions for lower cholesterol (1/2 egg substitute, 1/3 c. oil, and 1 1/2 c. water). All I can say is that EVERYONE is fighting over this cake it's so good!!!! Warm or cold!! Do yourself a favor and make this cake ASAP!

I know your book tells you to put everything in a specific order....but it doesn't work! Not like this! This is the best recipe!! We had light, airy, TASTY bread FINALLY!! Thank you for breaking the rules and giving us the opportunity to have a great homemade bread!

Key West Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 5, 2010
I followed this recipe to the "T". I was disappointed. It marinated for 6 hours. For us, it had a weird texture and wasn't all that flavorful. If we make this again, it will be with more lime juice and salt. It did not have enough acid for us.

Texas Eggs

Reviewed: Apr. 8, 2009
I followed this recipe almost exactly. I only doubled it and adjusted the cooking time accordingly. It cooked for over two hours, and it still had an "underdone" texture. I think there's too much liquid in this recipe. It definitely has promise, and we're going to tweak it a bit. The mouth-feel was just too......soft. The taste was good, we just need to dial-in the texture but cutting down on the milk a bit. Thank you for submitting this promising recipe!

Creamy Chicken and Rice

Reviewed: Nov. 15, 2008
I think this recipe has promise, but I found it wayyyy too rich. Too much cheese! I think, next time, I'll half the cheese and omit the sour cream. Otherwise, I think it's goood! My family loved it, though.

Shepherd's Pie VI

Reviewed: Nov. 11, 2008
Good recipe. LOVE the cheesy potatoes!! Took some other reviewers' hints and added Worschestire sauce, ketchup, and broth to meat and let it come to a boil. My family is NOT big carrot fans, so I just used a bag of frozen mixed veggies, and cooked them in the microwave and used that as my second layer. I think, next time, I may omit the Worchestire sauce to get a beefy-er taste.
