About this Cook
I am a mother of 3 and step mom to 3. I love my family very much. Coming up with meals my family will enjoy is one of my favorite things to do. Other than that I love to spend time with family. Playing with my kids is so much fun. I also enjoy photography and scrapbooking. Water sports are my favorite thing come summer time.
My favorite things to cook
I love love love to cook. My family has very diverse tastebuds. We like Chinese, Mexican, Italian, American, and many other cuisines. Our favorite would probably be Italian, we love any good pasta dish.
My favorite family cooking traditions
One of my favorite cooking traditions is fixing Chicken Fried Steak like my Grandmother does. At our house it is served with Gravy, Mashed Potatoes, Green Beans, Corn on the Cob and Fresh Fruit Salad. YUM! At Christmas we always have Chicken Fried Turkey, that's a family cooking tradition I hope to carry on! YUM-O!
My cooking triumphs
One of my triumphs in cooking would be copying my Grandmother's Chicken Fried Steak recipe to a T! Her Chicken fried steak is so yummy and tender and I love it when I pull of the recipe without a hitch. Another triumph would be when I created my own cheap version of Beef Stroganoff. It uses canned mushrooms, water, cream of mushroom soup, beefy onion soup mix, a small container of sour cream and sirloin steak cut into bite size pieces. Delicious!!!
My cooking tragedies
My cooking tragedy would be that every time I use my toaster, no matter how clean it is, I almost always set off my fire alarm when making toast. LOL, its a joke at my house that when the fire alarm goes off that dinner (or whatever meal time it is) is ready! You'll hear my kids yell,"Dinner's ready," followed by a bunch of giggles. That would have to be my constant cooking tragedy! LOL!

This was delicious. Everyone loved it. Definitely a do-over. My kids gobbled this up.

Ground Beef Mexican Style
This was excellent. My kids loved it and some are pretty picky eaters. I omitted the tomato since I didn't have any. We like sour cream so I used about 3/4 to 1 cup sour cream instead. Cheese is a favorite of ours too so of course I added a little bit more. I used medium salsa. It was scrumdiddlyumptious. We loved it.

Hamburger Steak with Onions and Gravy
This was good but very very bland. Will try again & maybe spice it up a little.
