Candied Kielbasa

I found this last minute (not enough time for the crockpot) and decided to use it as a marinade for our grilled kielbasa. It was amazing. I used 2 lbs. of kielbasa and cut the sauce ingredients in half, since we were just basting it. Served it over rice with grilled veggies and pineapple. It is our new favorite!

Mandarin Chicken Pasta Salad

Followed the recipe exactly except I left out the chicken. This was more of a side dish to go with our main meal. We really enjoyed it. I served it cold (I thought it tasted better after a few hours in the fridge than when straight off the stove) and next time I would try peanuts with it instead of almonds. Very flavorful!

Lime Bars

Delicious. If I were making these for company, I would have followed the recipe exactly. But it was just for my own family, so I cut the sugar back to 1 1/2 cups (in the lime mixture) and just lightly dusted with Powdered Sugar (instead of the glaze.) I also only used 1 1/2 sticks of butter in the crust (versus 2.) My husband said they were to die for! Great recipe.

Savory Grilled Onions

Delicious. Could eat them straight off the grill! I used 1/2 olive oil, 1/2 butter to make them a little lighter. Love the charred grilled taste.

Coconut Cream Pie I

Loved this. I followed the recipe exactly with the exception of sprinkling chocolate chunks on top! I also thought it tasted much better the next day (so make the night before if possible!) Yummy and easy!

Grilled Guacamole

I loved the smoky flavor of this guac! I used Heirloom tomatoes which made a nice presentation. We served it with Carne Asada Tacos and also ate it with chips. Great both ways. This is a fun and tasty recipe!

Black Magic Cake

This is my favorite from-scratch cake recipe. I use it with all kinds of frosting variations. Great with Oreo Frosting (Cream Cheese/Cool Whip with Crushed Oreo's mixed in!)

Angel Cake with Strawberries & Citrus Cream

I made a homemade pound cake that I used for this recipe. The Whipped Topping was so tasty with the berries (I used strawberries, blackberries & raspberries!) A simple but lovely dessert.

Delicious Chocolate Shake

The question is "how big is a scoop?" I added 2 huge scoops and less milk because I like a nice and thick chocolate shake. It was just right with a dollop of whipped cream on top. Yummy! I might add some Peppermint drops next time for a minty version.

Garlic Bread Spread

I added some mayo to the softened butter (about 1/4 cup) and then added the seasonings. I used sliced bread and wrapped it in foil to bake it. This also freezes well! Great recipe!

Cheesy Chicken and Rice

I used chopped Rotisserie Chicken and just threw all the ingredients in the pan and cooked it like soup. I had a can of Fiesta Cheese Soup I wanted to use up so I replaced this with the cheese. I also used 3 cups of broccoli. Very quick and easy recipe that was tasty over rice and with bread!

Melt in Your Mouth Mint Brownies

Thin mints work great for this recipe and make for a nice presentation. I decided to experiment with Peppermint Oreo's and they were a huge hit as well. Mint and brownies pair well together, especially during the holidays.

Fajita Marinade I

I doubled the marinade and threw it in the crock pot along with some skirt steak. I let it cook all day on low and the sauce basically evaporated but the meat was very flavorful. I served it with sauteed peppers and onions, sour cream, cheese and cilantro. Full of flavor.

I love all things breakfast and it's great having a "muffin" to grab for on-the-go. I added some cream cheese to the mix and cooked the sausage in maple syrup! So very tasty!

Buttermilk Ranch Cheeseball

This was SO good. Honestly I thought it might be too salty but it was perfect! I added the pecans to the mixture instead of rolling them onto the cheese ball. You can get very creative with the shape of the ball as well...I formed it into a pumpkin and added a stem to the top. It got rave reviews. Will definitely put this in my keeper list! Thanks!

Snickerdoodle Cake I

Very moist and flavorful. I did add about a cup of Pumpkin because it just sounded good! And it was! Next time I would add some of the sugar/cinnamon topping to the cake mix as well. I think it would also be good with a light cream cheese frosting.
