Ruth's Grandma's Pie Crust

Reviewed: Nov. 12, 2011
Everything you want a crust to be! I must have not rolled it thin enough be cause I only got 3 crusts out the recipe. I can't believe I ever bought pie crust-YUCK! I am a convert- normally I eat the insides of pie and leave the crust which is usually a combination of dry/burnt/gummy/flavorless. This amazing recipe cooked to a perfect golden brown without covering it and is flaky even the bottom stayed crisp! Thank you Ruth's Grandma!!!

Blueberry Zucchini Bread

Reviewed: Nov. 1, 2011
a bit bland. A streusel topping would really make this sing. But my husband likes sweets that aren't too sweet ( I know right?) and he ate 3 muffins within 10 min of them coming out of the oven. So this will definitely become a "go to." Very moist and if you peel the zucchini I'd guess no one would suspect there are 2 cups of veggies in this delish treat!

Taqueria Style Tacos - Carne Asada

Reviewed: Nov. 7, 2010
Super delish! I marinated chicken breast, shrimp and skirt steak with this marinade. All of them turned out perfect. CHANGES: I decreased soy sauce to 1/4C. added 1/4C. orange juice. omitted the white pepper and used canola oil and used skirt steak (more fat)

Slow-Cooked German Short Ribs

Reviewed: Oct. 15, 2010
served over mashed potatoes, this was FAR better than I had anticipated. So glad I tried this recipe. Bonus- short ribs are an inexpensive way to eat beef.

Balsamic Chicken

so yummy! i serve this over risotto with sauteed mushrooms and roasted asparagus with balsamic reduction. I use only 3 breasts and that leaves a little more sauce :)
