It's great to see a recipe like this one. A lot of people assume that this sort of thing is common knowledge, but it really isn't.

Cowboy Mashed Potatoes

WOW...this was delicious. It was perfect. A little more jalapeno may have been even better. DONT add extra cheese. It ruins the texture.

Spanish Rice II

Reviewed: Jun. 21, 2009
This was delicious. I used 1 1/2 cup chicken broth instead of 2 cups of water. I also added some chopped jalapenos. When it was done cooking, I turned off the burner, sprinkled grated cheese on the rice and covered with the lid for a few minutes, allowing the cheese to melt.

Risotto with Asparagus

Reviewed: Jul. 27, 2007
It was a high maintenance dish for sure and took me longer than 20 minutes but it was absolutely delicious! Next time I make it I might add garlic, rosemary, and pepper.

Creamy Au Gratin Potatoes

Reviewed: May 25, 2007
WOW! really good. I used slightly less milk and a half cup more cheese. Extra sharp cheddar is the key. I added corn. Oh yes, I made this in the crockpot by slicing the potatoes and onions (sautee the onions first) and just let those cook in the crockpot. thirty minutes before it is done add the cheese sauce and corn.

I added a teaspoon of crushed red pepper. The recipe didnt make enough sauce for the pound of pasta in my opinion.

Lemon Cream Pasta with Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 17, 2011
This was fantastic. Even though I will make some changes next time, I am still giving it five stars because the flavor was so perfect. Next time I will not cook the pasta as long as I did. By 17 minutes of cooking it was already getting mushy. That is my only complaint about the recipe. The flavors were amazing! I seasoned the chicken as suggested and then pan fried it. I added the cream to the pan to first scrape up the bits and chicken juices, then added the pasta. Wow was it delicious. Even with the noodles falling apart, it was amazing.

I added almost a stick of butter, a little garlic salt, and skipped the nutmeg. I also used frozen spinach since I didnt have fresh and it still tasted great.

Mom's Yummy Sweet Stuffing

Reviewed: Nov. 20, 2006
I made this for picky eaters who will not eat onions or celery. I boiled the onions and celery for a while and then removed them from the butter. I didnt have turkey on hand so I made chicken stock out of "better then boullion." It was packed with flavor.

Chicken Milano

Reviewed: Mar. 28, 2007
incredible. I put all ingrediants in the crockpot except the cream and basil. I added those ingredients at the end. I doubled the sauce but did not double the amount of cream, so essentially I used half the cream recommended. It was fantastic. Oh and I used the sundried tomatoes that come in a jar of oil since that was all the grocery store sold. It was still fantastic!

Whatch You Want Watermelon

Reviewed: Jul. 1, 2007
You can't even taste the vodka. We tested it out again with really cheap vodka and still couldnt taste it, which was amazing. Watch out, you will get drunk and not see it coming. Use seedless watermelon- the seeds got annoying. def give it hours to soak.

Orange Pork

Reviewed: Aug. 1, 2007
at first I thought it was too orangey and too salty, but everyone loved it. **I added lots of crushed red pepper and a few dashes of habanero sauce to make it spicy. I also added some orange peel, ginger, and chicken broth. I just added, tasted, added, tasted until I was satisfied with the flavor changes.

Easy Caramelized Onion Pork Chops

Reviewed: Mar. 29, 2007
I made this in the crockpot. I cut the liquid amount significantly and added beef bouillon ("better than bouillon" brand)and a drop of soy sauce, a drop of worcestershire sauce, and two cloves of garlic. I did not add salt since soy sauce is salty. I added mushrooms to make it look more sophisticated. I served it with wild rice and asparagus. The rice wentperfectly with the chops but the asparagus didnt seem to compliment the meal too well.
