Irish Soda Bread

This was such an easy bread! I could easily see adding different ingredients to vary the flavors a little. Minced onion, sharp cheddar, chives, lots of possibilities.

Cake Mix Cookies IV

My Mom used to make these a lot when I was growing up, except she made them in a pyrex and cut them into bar cookies. She usually added raisins or chocolate chips, and drizzed frosting on top. I did the same, and baked it for 20 minutes. Probably could've gone a few minutes longer. So fast and easy!

Jalapeno Popper Spread

Go ahead and dump the WHOLE 4 ounce can of jalapenos in this dip (drain them first, of course). This wasn't spicy at all, and I think the extra jalapenos would help it a bit. I loved it though, I served it with triscuits and slices of a fresh baguette.

I cooked the onions in the butter before adding the flour to make the roux. I also added some black pepper to the bean mixture.

German Apple Cake I

I made this in a bundt pan, and the baking time should've been closer to 55 minutes. Otherwise, it smelled wonderful and was a tasty, moist cake. I used four apples. I also made the caramel glaze suggested by naples.

Yummy Honey Chicken Kabobs

Baked Cherry Tomatoes with Garlic

I was lazy, and chopped 4 cloves of garlic, tossed all the ingredients together, and put it in the oven. I made sure to "blister" the tomatoes a bit by finishing it on broil. Nice, quick, and easy side dish!

Algerian Carrots

This is my new favorite way to prepare carrots. I could eat a pound of carrots this way, I loved them that much! I used carrots and sliced them into sticks, rather than using baby carrots. Awesome!
