Three Berry Pie

Reviewed: Aug. 2, 2011
I made this a while back and used frozen berries, and modified the sugar and cornstarch per the other reviewers. I recall it tasting excellent, but it was runny. Next time I am going to try the flour on the crust and let it sit overnight (I am sure I was tempted to dive in and try it as soon as it cooled and didn't wait!). I'm also going to add lemon juice for a little tartness. I had an awesome mixed berry pie from a bakery and it had raw sugar sprinkled on the crust, which was a nice addition. I did that with this pie and it tasted great!

Soda Cracker Candy

Reviewed: Aug. 2, 2011
A friend gave me a variation of this recipe, which only calls for 1/2 cup butter, seemed to turn out OK for me. Her recipe didn't have nuts (good for me, as I am allergic) and used 1 bag semi-sweet chocolate chips and 1 bag of peanut butter chips, a nice variation if you really like PB & chocolate as I do!

Honey Barbecue Sauce

Reviewed: Jul. 22, 2011
Wow, this was great! I've never made my own barbecue sauce and for some reason, my fussy family was very skeptical of me making it instead of using store bought (makes no sense to me either!). I omitted a few things I didn't have or want to buy (molasses, meat tenderizer and ground ginger). Otherwise, stayed as is and wow, everyone was impressed!! It was a total hit!! I will be making this again for sure! I'll probably make it ahead when we go camping so we can grill outside or make barbecue, etc.

Tangy Dill Potato Salad

Reviewed: Jul. 22, 2011
I made this for the 4th of July and loved it. I thought the flavor was very good, thanks to the combination of Italian dressing and dill, which was just what I was looking for! I omitted the Dijon and substituted sour cream the mayo to give it that tang of sour cream and to save some calories. I think Greek yogurt could work too. Also the store was out of fresh dill, but they had the kind in the tube, which I usually don't use. I gave it at try and I'm glad I did. It worked out just fine and the flavor was excellent! I will definitely make this again.
