“Forty-Four and Fabulous”, this California-born wife and mother of two is proud to be the newest "Prime" member of the allrecipes.com family. Graduating from Oral Roberts University in 1992 with a degree in International Business, she is currently studying Drama, TV and Film Performance while staying active with church, a part-time job, family, and theatrical/musical pursuits.

I wear the label as a badge of pride . . . any person can stay home, but it takes someone special to do it right. Besides . . . my life includes so much more activity than the average. I love seeing my home as a haven and enjoy sharing it with the family and friends I love. Part of that sharing? Filling them with healthy, tasty, filling food and letting them know, there's ALWAYS room for one more!"
My favorite things to cook
Twice a year I prepare an Armenian feast FULL of the traditional dishes I loved from my childhood. Lamb or beef kebabs, rice or bulghar pilaf, stuffed grape leaves, tabbouleh, hummus and pita, and of course, baklava from scratch!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Every year at Christmas, we host a "baking day" at our house. Each family member chooses his/her favorite cookie/candy recipe and my kids and I spend the day BAKING up a storm. By the end of the day, we have a freezer full of cookies and the season is set for impromptu entertaining and late night cookies and milk requests. Only at Christmas, though. The rest of the year? Desserts are a RARE occurrence! :) Some of the yearly favorites include: Coconut Bon-Bons, Cowboy Cookies, Pecan Tassies, Mom's Ginger Snaps, Raspberry Jam Bars, and Ultimate Chocolate Chip Cookies.
