About this Cook
I'm a mother of three and a grandmother of one and a proud owner of three Yorkie dogs. I have been happily married for 14 years.
My favorite things to cook
Anything italian!!!!
My favorite family cooking traditions
We always have Monkey Bread on Thanksgiving morning. My 8 year old son loves it! We also have seafood feast on Christmas Eve.
My cooking triumphs
First place winner in the Northeast Tennessee Tourism's Home Baker's Cookie Challenge and One of Five finalists in the Levy Restaurants/Bristol Motor Speedway Rubbin is Racin contest three years in a row. Also owned a successful catering business for two years. Catered for some very prominent companies. Appeared on a cooking segment for a local daytime tv show and was asked to come back anytime!!!!!
My cooking tragedies
As with any cook, I occasionally have recipe failures. No One Ever Sees Them!!!! When I was about ten my mother became very ill and it was then that I started my cooking career. My first tragedy was jello. I didn't read the directions well and I added the hot and then the cold water at the same time. You can imagine the result. LOL

Quick Pickled Jalapeno Rings
We absolutely love this recipe. I leave out the oregano but other than that we can't get enough. Just whipped up a big ole batch! Thanks for the recipe!

Blueberry Scones
These are really good scones, however, I cut back on the liquid as well. I probably used just less than 2/3 c. half and half. I also added lemon zest. This is probably not a good recipe for someone who has never made scones unless they read the reviews first.

Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie V
Wow, I was really skeptical because it was cooked in the microwave and I didn't think the pudding would come out smooth. I didn't change a thing and it was amazing! My husband said it was a little rich. (That's a good thing) I drizzled chocolate syrup on the plate, and topped the slice with whipped cream, delicious.
