Reuben Chowder

I liked this. I will use low sodium broths in the future as the saltiness from the broths and the corned beef made it a little too salty for my guests. I added a little caraway seed too, since you often find that on rye bread. It didn't quite taste like a reuben, I missed the sweetness of the 1000 island dressing, but was a good soup overall. I also may use more beef and less vegetable broth in the future as I prefer the beefy flavor.

Asian Grilled Chicken

I wasn't too thrilled with the flavor. Probably would have been better with some honey or more sweetness. Good heat though. Will try again with more sweetness.

Buttercream Icing

Great recipe for cake decorating. I made my son's Spongebob birthday cake with this and it worked beautifully. I used the butter flavored Crisco in the can, andI was out of vanilla and used almond extract instead and it was still delicious!

Shrimp Garden Salad

Yum! Great salad idea with ingredients I always seem to have around. I did use red bell pepper instead of celery though, and some 26/30 shrimp we grilled last night. Tossed with a light buttermilk ranch dressing. Will add this to my regular rotation!

Awesome! Made it half a dozen times or so, added some cinnamon or apple pie spice a couple times. Even won a local baking contest with it! You should be very proud!

Parmesan Sage Pork Chops

Tasted OK, but some of the breading fell off. Chop was a little dry. I do love sage. NOt sure if I"ll make again.

Mediterranean Quinoa Salad

Pretty good. Found it slightly dry. I wanted more dressing I guess. I also threw in grape tomatoes, cucumbers and skipped the chicken. The quinoa is plenty of protein for a meal in itself.

Roast Sticky Chicken-Rotisserie Style

After we ate I said, that was good, same as usual, but I didn't think it was as good as the grocery store. My husband said, I thought you got it from the grocery store. So I guess I'm my worst critic and it was better than usual. It only took me 4 hours to bake, I cut back on the cayenne and added sage. We love sage paired with poultry. I also only marinated it for four hours. Next time I will do overnight. Totally worth the time it takes. Don't forget to use the drippings for an awesome gravy!

Adzuki Bean Mango Stir Fry with Cilantro Lime Coconut Sauce

I feel badly giving such a negative review, but I thought the flavors were strange, they didn't meld well, and the sauce was too thin. I really don't know what I would do to improve upon this. I did execute exactly as written, except my aduki beans were dry so I soaked them overnight before cooking. Maybe this just wasn't suited to my tastes.

Peanut Butter and Fudge Swirl Pie

Delish! I used all light products and it still felt very full flavored to me. I had everything on hand but the crust which I bought pre-made. Otherwise I used reduced fat cream cheese, peanut butter, cool whip and sugar substitute. It eliminated about 150 calories per serving. I had to try it after about an hour (couldn't wait four hours!) and I loved it. I'm sure it will be even better tomorrow!

Sweet, Sticky and Spicy Chicken

Very delicious recipe. Reminds me of General Tso's chicken. It was too spicy for me. To get an idea of my tolerance, I usually eat medium heat salsa. The second time I made this I doubled the sauce and marinated the chicken cubes in it for about five hours. Then I discarded the marinade and cooked the chicken in the remaining sauce. I ate the leftovers on a salad for lunch today. It was even better the next day. Thanks for the great recipe!

Peanut Butter Logs

I love that this is one of the quickest treats I've ever done. When I added the sugar, the dough became fairly dry and I had a little difficulty mixing in the cereal and getting the nuts to stick. Maybe just add the sugar a little at a time till the dough seems to be of a good consistency. The contrast of the salty peanuts is wonderful against the sweet crispy peanut butter mixture.

Spiced Sweet Roasted Red Pepper Hummus

I roasted my own peppers which were delicious. The flavor was better the longer it sat. The only problem with this recipe is the nutrition facts are wrong. I used Spark recipes calculator and it came out to 94 calories per serving. Still not bad, just a big difference if you're watching your weight.

Clams Casino

I have made this twice and perfected it to my family's tastes. I changed two things. Rather than chop the clams and mix them in, I simply loosened them from their shell and put the filling on top of them. I also cut the amount of bread crumbs down to about 1/3 cup. That said the flavors and spice mixture of this recipe are perfection! Thanks for the great recipe!

Best Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie

Delicious! The dough will be moister than regular chocolate chip cookie dough, but it's supposed to be. The only changes I made were I cut the chocolate chips down to 1 1/3 cups and lined my baking sheets with silicone baking sheets. They turned out better than any chocolate chip cookie I've ever made. I will use this recipe every time I make them! Thanks!!

Quick and Easy Alfredo Sauce

Pot Roast in Foil

This is such a great, easy recipe! The only changes I made were that I did my roast in the slow cooker, and added potatoes to the bottom. It turned out so tender and delicious. Will definitely make again and again!

Beef Tips and Noodles

Delicious! The only changes I made were that I used regular dry onion soup mix, as I didn't have beefy onion on hand. Also, I did mine in the slow cooker and used "stew meat" cubes rather than sirloin. (much more economical) Served over egg noodles with store bought dinner rolls - this takes just minutes to prepare after a long day at work! Thanks!

Last Minute Chicken Dinner

I've made this recipe several times since we first found it. It is now one of my family's favorites! Sometimes I use canned, pre-sliced potatoes to save time. Also, I rarely have the exact spices called for, so I'll often substitute Italian seasoning which tastes great! The crisp golden crunch on the outside of the potatoes is a perfect compliment to the soft chicken and vegetables. Thanks for the great recipe!
