About this Cook
Originally from Los Angeles county, lived in Texas for 10 years, Louisiana for two, been in upstate New York for 6. Married with 2 children.
My favorite things to cook
I love making appetizers. Taste is crucial but presentation is critical.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My great grandmother used to tell stories about surviving the depression and the answer to the food shortage was always potatoes. She would say, "Throw some more potatoes in the pot!" when unexpected guests arrived.
My cooking triumphs
I make a Schnitzel dinner that is to die for. Everyone loves it.
My cooking tragedies
I made a cheesy, tuna, dill weed casserole thing once and NO ONE liked it. Even the dog wouldn't eat it!

Bacon Wrapped Pork Medallions
Beautiful presentation! Takes a bit of work but worth every bit when you want to impress your guests. I followed the recipe exactly and it came out wonderful.

High Temperature Eye-of-Round Roast
AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!! I would have never thought of doing a roast like this but this was GREAT!!!!!!!!!! My husband loves roast beef and every time I try to make it it comes out a greyish color all the way through and has the consistency of shoe leather. But this was PERFECT!!!!!!! I marinated my 3lb eye of round in vegetable oil and McCormick's Meat Marinade Seasoning Mix and it was DELICIOUS!!!!!!!!!! Crispy and slightly blackened on the outside, pink and perfect on the inside and SO MOIST!!!!!!!!!!!! I will never cook roast beef any other way ever again!!!!!!! THANK YOU LYN B!!!!!!!
