Chicken Makhani (Indian Butter Chicken)

We ended up substituting sour cream for the yogurt just because that was what we had in the fridge. This was very good, with some garlic naan, a recipe you can also find on allrecipes!

Very tasty pesto, I only added 3/4 cup of olive oil because it was looking really oily. I think 1/2 cup would have been plenty.

Great recipe! The texture and taste are both perfect, and it's a great way to use up leftover chicken. I will add some frozen vegetables next time, but we will have this again.

Italian Sausage, Peppers, and Onions

I haven't had sausage and peppers this good since an Italian Street Fair in New York years ago! The recipe is easy and perfect. We've made it a few times already, we always serve on a hoagie roll.

Grilled Bacon Jalapeno Wraps

Excellent! My wife and I love these, although we couldn't get any of the kids to try them. The wraps made from garden grown jalapenos were much hotter than the grocery variety, but still great!

Jalapeno Hummus

For my flavor, you need much more jalapeno than this recipe calls for. We ended up using about 5 garden grown jalapenos to spice it up and it turned out great this way.

Jalapeno Popper Wontons

We had a bumper crop of jalapenos this year and not very good results with the tomatoes meaning that we had a LOT of jalapenos left after making our salsa. This is by far the best recipe I have found for the leftover jalapenos, and we made up many, many batches and froze them for use later. They freeze very well!

Chuck's Favorite Mac and Cheese

The kids absolutely love this recipe, so long as they don't see what goes into it! The youngest saw the cottage cheese go in while constructing and decided he wasn't going to eat it. Took quite a while to get him to try it, but he did indeed like it and ask for seconds.

These were very good, reminding me of the pasties I had in Butte, Montana, which is a copper mining town from way back. The crust was a little dry, but good nonetheless.

Roasted Garlic Soup

We have been trying to find a recipe that closely emulates our favorite soup from an upscale restaurant in the area, and this by far is the closest we have come and the best we have tried. I wouldn't change anything about it, and even our kids ate it!

Curried Zucchini Soup

Family loved it; add a cubed sweet potato, some garlic and red pepper flakes to spice it up a bit. We collected some of the cubed sweet potatoes prior to blending to add back in later, and added some yogurt as well. Great stuff!

Country Crunch Pancakes

I've made these several times, they are a family favorite! I do no put the topping down first, I couldn't get the pancakes to cook without burning the brown sugar. I let them cook good on the first side, sprinkle a generous amount of the topping and flip. They are so moist and sweet you don't need any butter or syrup on top.
