Chewy Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies

Reviewed: Apr. 26, 2013
This recipe made wonderfully moist, tender and delicious cookies. Everyone in the family loved them. I will not change anything and will make them over and over again.

Dark Chocolate Cake I

Reviewed: Apr. 18, 2012
Not sure what happened with this one but it came out very heavy. More like a brownie than a cake which was not what I expected. I didn't change any ingredients but I did bake it in a glass 13 x 9 pan as another reviewer did. Although the taste was still VERY good, this was not what I would classify as a "cake". I used all organic ingredients, as I always do but will have to continue my search for the perfect "made from scratch" chocolate cake.

Red Lentil Curry

Reviewed: Jan. 22, 2012
This was such a fantastic and easy dish to make. I did use extra hot curry paste and powder as we like it hot! I served with Masala Nann bread. This is definitely a dish we will make over and over again.

Hot German Potato Salad III

Reviewed: Jul. 19, 2009
This was a great tasting and easy to make recipe. My only complaint was that it was not saucy enough. Next time I will double the sauce ingredients to give a less dry salad. It was a big hit for dinner.

Dave's Coleslaw

Reviewed: Jul. 19, 2009
I must admit I was little disappointed. I made a fabulous pulled pork and wanted this to go along but I found the recipe really soupy and washed out. I will try it again with some modifications from the other reviews. I hope it will turn out better next time.

Raspberry Buttermilk Muffins

Reviewed: Jul. 19, 2009
I found this to be an excellent recipe with a few minor changes. First off I use all organic and local ingredients. I used about 1/3 of the sugar but had to add extra buttermilk as the batter was too dense. I went outside and picked fresh raspberries from my garden to add. My kids love them and they are a great addition to any lunch-bag. Thanks for a staple recipe.

Fajita Marinade I

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2008
This is a fantastic recipe. I like to use flank steak and marinade it overnight. I toss it in a hot pan, with the marinade, add sliced peppers and onions and cook it up. If there are any leftovers, I thicken the sauce and we spoon it over rice. I do like to add hot peppers or hot sauce for a little kick though. The lime is the key and I always squeeze fresh, I never use the bottled stuff.

Never, Never Fail Pie Pastry

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2008
I am truly amazed. The traditional tourtiere Christmas dinner became my responsibility this year but I very rarely make pastry. I man-handled the dough (I also omitted the sugar and vanilla) and it turned out amazing. Even my mother-in-law commented on how good the tourtiere was. Such an easy recipe and very tender and flaky. This recipe is a keeper and I will share it with anyone who is interested.

Thai Green Curry Chicken

Reviewed: Nov. 11, 2008
fan-flipping-tastic...well worth the prep work and time it took. we quadrupled the recipe and it still turned out great with lots left over to freeze up. we've used the frozen portions and they were just as good. we added some veggies, zucchini and long green beans as this is how we are used to it. this recipe is definitely a keeper.

Fantastic and easy. I make it ahead and it keeps in the fridge for weeks. My kids love it too!
