Red, White and Blue Burgers

These deserve 10 stars but I could not tweak it if my life depended on it. First, I needed more hamburger then I had, so I added a pound of spicy Bratwurst to the mixture along with some steak sauce, a package of Lipton onion soup mix too, just for good measure. I love onions too much to simply put them inside, so slices on the bun seems ideal! Not everybody in my family likes blue cheese, it went on individual burgers. If this burger wasn't big enough, I placed Hatch chilies on them as well!! These were EXCELLENT! ! THANK YOU from one Patty to another;;)

Coconut rum & pineapple, what's not to LOVE? ? I used the 1/2 can of pineapple-banana juice I had from another adult summer sipper and this was just as Yummy! Thank you redheartz

Summer Delight

I am not sure Why this drink doesn't have like a BAZZILION 5 star reviews and just as many photos!! OMGOSHHHHHH this drink is DA BOMB! Looks stunning, lol at least I Hope this is what it's supposed to look like. BUT, BEWARE, fruity flavored and you can't taste the rum. Although you could add more I suppose.;) Over all very good for hot days ANY time of the year!!

Gram Miller's Bread and Butter Pickles

I don't can, so I just made them refrigerator pickles instead. I forgot about the onions, mey no worries bout that. The brine tasted pretty yummy, so I hold out hope these are gonna Rock when I finally am able to dive into them! Ooohhh, can't WAIT! I will keep you posted. Thank you Mad Moose! !

Macaron (French Macaroon)

I have never made FM's before. I had time, took my time to read the reviews n tricks. If I'm gonna take the time to make these, that seem really technical, I don't want to screw em up! So, I went and bought my first digital scale. Measure, measure, measure!! I ran the almond flour through the FP and Still had a heck of a time sifting it! I was making these for the family so I just dumped the rest of the flour (2 tbls) that still had tiny pebbles in the bowl. Mey;) Gives texture and didn't seem to make a difference to me. I gave them some color, let them sit by an open window on a hot summer day and popped them in the oven. There is a vast difference of temps, I setitled on 375 then down to 325 once the pan went in, turned after 5 minutes. My cookies didn't rise as much as I thought and the lost a bit of color, the higher temp might be the reason. I will correct this next time. I GOT FEET!! No cracks, I used both silpat & parchment paper with no spray, nothing stuck. I made a mocha filling with Hershey/hazelnut coco spread & 1 tbls. Instant coffee crystals along with a little coffee creamer to thin it out. The family thought they were very good! Well, now I know I Can make them;) Thank you very much Elle. Keeper!!

Popa's Pickled Eggs

I don't like pickled eggs. Well, before I made these I didn't, not any longer! These were terrific except for the fact that they weren't hot enough for us. I pickled for 2 days & cut up some of the peppers. Hoping longer will give me what I need, more Heat! Thank you BD, THESE ROCK!!

Asian Grilled Chicken

I have had this in my RB since Feb. 2012. I Wish I had tried it the first day I added it! I didn't measure, eye balled the whole thing. I used Chinese 5 Spice powder in place of the curry. I grilled the boobs and slathered the extra sauce over them. Served it with mac n cheese. I will not soon forget this recipe! Thank you Lorelei Lee. Sorry it took me so long to make this;)

Mom's Macaroni and Cheese

These little gems are Delicious! They deserve 12 stars but I tweaked them a bit. I didn't have grape jelly so I subbed orange marmalade. I stirred in mustard powder along with Chili sauce. Hard to have a party w/o saucy smoke links! Thank you Ann Marie!

Midsummer Night's Salad

This salad was Scrumptious! I belong to a little secret club around here called Tweaker R Us, sorry,but this salad NEEDED some color so I added some of my fav's, Feta cheese, Kalamata Olives & marinated artichokes. I used some of the marinade to dress the salad. Instead of salad greens I found some Kale at the market, love it!!

Syrian Spaghetti

This was easy peasy, which I Really appreciate! I had some hot Italian sausage in the freezer, I cooked it up with a large can of tomato soup and tomato strips. A couple shakes of seasoned garlic/parm powder and dinner was nearly ready. I didn't drain the sausage so I left out the oil and used bow tie pasta just for the fun of it:) My kids were happy when they got home from work since this Sketti means LUNCH Tomorrow!Thank you Mike, DELICIOUS! !

Peanut Noodles

I was jonesing for peanut noodles, this was just the RIGHT ONE! I I actually made about 4 x's the amount, 2 boxes if linguine since I was taking the bulk of it to potluck @ work. My kids & the Co workers LOVED this! I added shredded chicken and chopped broccoli to make it a main dish. A couple teaspoons of 5 Spice powder was a Fab idea too! Of course I used Xtra chunky peanutbutter;) Maureen, this was a WINNER WINNER peanut butter chicken Dinner!! Thank you

Sour Cream Chicken Enchilada Casserole

These enchiladas come together in a New York minute with the help of, what I used, was a roasted chicken from the deli. And the fact that it also uses tortilla chips is a bonus that I have been doing for Years! I mean who doesn't have an open bag of chips that are quickly sliding toward the trash can? Why not repurpose them before pitching them? And if you have leftover chicken, this casserole is a dream for cleaning out that fridge! The only thing that would make this better is having a fried egg on top of each serving!!

Mexican Gump

This was just totally yummy!! Super quick and great for a busy weeknight dinner. I thought it would be fun to serve it with Doritos, they stand up to the dish just fine! Next time I would like to add some chorizo for some extra flavor.

Grilled Brussels Sprouts

I am a BS Fanatic! Started sipping Limoncello while I was grilling and forgot to cut them in half, hee hee. Drizzled a little grapeseed oil instead of the butter, lol blame adult sippy cup again;)// So I grilled them a bit then nuked them for about 5 minutes. They were very good, snacked on them with fish tacos. Thank you Chef Clay:)

Ditalini Salad with Black Beans, Corn, Lime, Cotija Cheese and Avocado

This salad was Awesome! ! Didn't change a thing cuz if it ain't broke, don't fix it! Instead of canned corn, I used a leftover corn on the cob. I served it with Mexican beef tacos. Thank you Barilla

Chipotle Roast for Tacos and Sandwiches

My kids loved this beef, I made tacos and they inhaled them! I added a whole can of Chipotle and pickled onions to balance out the flavors. I'm off for the summer so I let the meat go low n slow in the oven from frozen stew meat. This is gonna make Great Machaca to tomorrow morning for sure! Thank you Karie, you have a winner here!

Quick and Easy Summer Limoncello Cake

Too bad I can only give this cake 5 stars, it deserves 10!! First of all, I got to buy my first bottle of Limoncello, YEAH! Second, this cake is LIGHT as a feather and oh SOOO YUMMY!! Third, this makes a Perfect dessert after even the heaviest of dinners. This would be a Lovely cake for an afternoon tea. The crumb is Very tender and moist. The title is missing one word and that word is, FABULOUS!! I added a few teaspoons of limoncello after it came out of the oven and added some yellow food color to the glaze. LOVE LOVE this new summer time treat:::))) THANK YOU ALLIGREEKPI, THIS ROCKSSSSS!!!
