Rosa's Carne con Pappas

Reviewed: May 3, 2012
Family and I totally enjoyed this recipe. Hubby said it was "pretty good stuff", in other words, he really liked it. I served from the dish with sour cream and extra salsa on the side. Flavor and texture were very pleasing. Not too hot. Some added hot sauce, but the flavor really didn't need anything more. Will make this again.

Slow Cooker Honey Garlic Chicken

Reviewed: Apr. 29, 2012
Made as written except I did do the option of making in oven with excellent results. I did halve the recipe also. Excellent taste and texture. As an added bonus the house smelled wonderful. I made rice on the side and yes, it was even better the next day. Very good recipe.

Stephen's Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Apr. 24, 2012
Sorry, but these didn't give me the soft, chewy cookie I was expecting. Also the flavor was off. Not enough vanilla, to my taste. More chocolate and flavoring would have made a world of difference.

Chive Mushroom Soup

Reviewed: Apr. 24, 2012
This soup is perfectly seasoned and the "soup" is just the right consistency for dipping a rustic bread into. Flavors are right on, no fancy spices, just pure flavor.

The Best Parmesan Chicken Bake

Reviewed: Apr. 5, 2012
I halved recipe for 4 adults and 1 child and we had a few bites leftover which I have sent over to brother for further testing ;). Followed recipe for 1/2 recipe, used my favorite marinara sauce recipe and I must say that is recipe is fantastic. Just the right amount of seasonings, moisture, cheese. The smell in the house was mouth watering. We didn't need knives to cut the chicken! Only thing I did different was to crush up some of the bread crumbs, left some whole. Absolutely tasty, everyone was impressed. I made some garlic cheese bread and some sweet peas to finish off meal.

Chicken Potato Bake

Reviewed: Feb. 26, 2012
Doubled recipe ingredients and it was a success. Tender, fall off the bone almost chicken, potatoes were tender and flavorful. The cheese topping was an added delight. Used a wonderful Parmesan from my local Italian deli. Just enough sauce to cover and add a little to the potatoes as a sauce. Will certainly make again.

Caroline's Firecrackers

Reviewed: Feb. 26, 2012
What a wonderful snack! The almond bark gives the creamy, sweet and the Cheetos give the crunch and heat. What more can you ask for?! Husband was skeptical, but he did manage to eat almost half the batch before I could stop him and make him share. Thanks for a tasty recipe.

Somet Roubel

Reviewed: Feb. 16, 2012
You don't specify if my "somet" is now or if my "roubel" should be cured. A little explanation on this might be an idea. Still all in all an interesting recipe. I might just make some Somet Roubel with my own additions. Thanks for an interesting recipe.

Oven-Roasted Asparagus

Reviewed: Feb. 15, 2012
Love this recipe! I was afraid to try to roast this vege until I read some of the reviews. I followed all rules maybe a little tweek of mine, which only means a little less of this and that, but on the whole this recipe rocks! Heat is right on target, what you add to "season" is your choice, but use amounts of oil or butter as this recipe states and you will not be disapointed.

Excellent combination of spices. We use this making our spanish rice, tacos, burritos, actually anything where you want a nice flavor. Even a 8 yr. old girl, who doesn't like spicy tastes, said she liked her taco made with this.

Tarte aux Moutarde (French Tomato and Mustard Pie)

Reviewed: Aug. 31, 2011
Made this for Recipe Group. Love the presentation factor. Taste is really good, the creamy cheese, the tart tomato, the earthy herbs and crunchy top crust are wonderful. The bottom crust is a little soft, but overall a wonderful combination of flavors. Daughter commented that we should make this again with different cheeses. I agree. I can't wait for tomorrow to have it for lunch. If there is any left.
