Tres Leches (Milk Cake)

We have never tried a milk cake before so I thought this recipe might be one for us to try as a family. Everyone was very impressed with the taste and moistness of this cake. I put the topping on individually for everyone with a sprinkle of cinnamon or not depending on taste. We all enjoyed this cake very much.

Easy Weeknight Chicken Pot Pie

Made this according to directions except I added a chopped, peeled baked potato. Family really liked it and it was very easy to put together. The flavor of the sauce was just to our liking.

Sweet Italian Chicken Sausage and Tortellini Soup

Family really enjoyed this soup. Easy to put together and eye pleasing with all the colors. Sausage and Tortellini were very tasty together. Adding the butter gave it an almost creamy texture. Very good recipe.

Jan's Savory Breakfast Sausage Patties

Family has flipped over these little gems. I ground my own pork with a 80-20 mixture and these seasonings are wonderful. Flavors just pop in your mouth. I made extra and have them in freezer. Just pop it in the microwave for about a minute. This is a must try recipe.

Cheese-Stuffed Giant Meatballs

Made half of recipe with string cheese, remaining with a smoked cheddar. Family loved both! Served with extra sauce on the side. A definite keeper.

Mushroom-Vegetable Ragu with Fettuccine

Family was impressed with this dish. Lots of veges we all like, sauce was tasty, not too salty. Blended well with the Fettuccine. Used just a mixed vege blend but everything else just as recipe suggests. A definite addition to our menu.

Loaded Bacon Potato Pizza

We were impressed with this version of a pizza. I liked using the cheese sauce on the crust. Followed directions but didn't need all the potatoes it called for. My daughter and grand daughter both also liked the flavor and texture. Husband asked if I could make one for him when he watches football. Tasty, quick, easy, yes I can see making this in the future.

I have been making this recipe for years. I strongly suggest using fresh orange juice not the bottled. It gives another flavor layer. Wonderful at any time of the year.

Saucy Meatball Hoagies

Made this recipe as written and grand daughter, age 8, loved it. She said that it tasted just like a bomber one of her friends mom makes. I let meatballs cool down a bit in the sauce and it seemed to thicken up a bit. You can change this up by adding more toppings but the sauce, cheese and meatballs complimented each other.

Ranch Ham Roll-Ups

I subbed green olives for the peppers. We all enjoyed these. I mixed ingredients and let sit overnight. A little salty for my taste but rest of family liked them.

Chicken Seasoning Blend

This is a wonderful combination of flavor with just your own touch of heat. Had all ingredients on hand as I make my own combo for chicken, but I also like this one very much. Might play with some of the ingredients in the future but this is a great recipe.

Breakfast Sausage

Absolutely wonderful flavor. I ground the pork myself and added this seasoning. Let it sit in refrigerator overnight. Made patties next morning and everyone loved them. Flavor was just what we were looking for. Earthy, just a touch of sweetness. They browned up beautifully. I will be making these, cooking, freezing so all I have to do is put in microwave for a wonderful breakfast addition.

Smokie Dry Rub

Followed directions for recipe to the letter and I'm glad I did. The ribs sat in frig with that wonderful smelling rub on them and in the morning they smelled even better. I put them in the slow cooker with my "special" BBQ sauce I make and we ate every single rib. Usually we have leftovers. I cooked my sauce down and served over rice. Excellent rub. Thanks much. I've already made a double batch of the rub for future use.

Simple Strawberry Syrup

I forgot to review this a few weeks back when I made it. IT IS AWESOME! 2 weeks and flavor keeps getting better and better. Grand girls ask for this on pancakes. The fluffy pancakes recipe here btw that I keep in cupboard (dry ingredients). Wonderful combo.

I am giving this 5 stars because the ingredients were perfect for the 2 pies. I did adjust seasonings to our taste but the final product was just the consistency and flavor that we wanted. Big hit here.
