Chocolate Oil Cake

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2009
The only thing I did was cut this recipe in half to use it as cupcakes. I made homemade frosting for them and took them to a birthday party. They were LOVED by all. I was hoping to have a couple to take back home, but there weren't even crumbs left. This was YUMMY! Next time I will try it with the applesauce that I have seen recommended. But I didn't change anything in it.

Apple Kuchen

Reviewed: Sep. 10, 2008
My mom has a recipe similar to this one, but we use peaches. Our recipe calls for baking the crust for 10 minutes BEFORE you add the fruit to it. To those that say the sour cream topping isn't enough... it isn't supposed to cover the whole thing. Its not frosting! With our recipe calling for canned or fresh peaches, if you get canned peaches in heavy syrup, it won't need sugar.

Slow Cooker Lemon Garlic Chicken II

Reviewed: Aug. 11, 2008
I thought this recipe was good, but the chicken ended up being a lil drier than I would have liked, so maybe a lil less time in the cooker or more liquid to cover it. Overall I thought the flavor was pretty tasty.

Chicken Scampi I

Reviewed: Jun. 11, 2008
I wasn't pleased with have the worchester sauce in the marinade. So next time I make this I'll leave that part out. And as some of the other users have said, I won't marinade overnight. But overall wasn't a bad flavor.

Amazing Italian Lemon Butter Chicken

Reviewed: Jun. 11, 2008
I was looking for just a lemon butter sauce to go over some chicken ravioli, and I found this recipe. I think the next time I make it, either the wine or the lemon needs to go, and it was really geasy. It has great flavor and I will use it again, but will probably make a few adjustments.

Mild Cheesy Chicken Enchiladas

Reviewed: Apr. 3, 2008
This was pretty darn tasty! One of my co-workers had brought in enchiladas for lunch and I decided that is what I wanted for dinner. Fairly easy to put together, I used canned tomatoes instead of fresh, and I put the olives and the tomatoes on the inside as well as the outside. I ended up putting the tomatoes and olives in the sauce for the outside, but after making it, I wouldn't recommend that. It worked very well for the inside but the outside had a gritty texture to it. I am not really sure why that happened. I think next time I would just use some shredded cheese on top with some enchilada sauce. Overall this was a yummy recipe.

Pork Loin Chops in Apple Cream

Reviewed: Mar. 26, 2008
I made this last night, and it was pretty yummy. I changed it up a bit and followed some other reviews. I added some applesauce and used apple juice (no cider on hand) and added some cinnamon. I also marinated the pork before I cooked it, with vinegar, salt, pepper, and garlic. I think next time I will leave out the breading part, as it just made a mess in the sauce for me. I also added some diced apples to the pan before I cooked the chops. Then removed them and added them back in when I added the cream. Overall I think this was a awesome recipe, simple and didn't take all night to prepare. I will try this with chicken as well.

Creamy Rice Pudding

Reviewed: Mar. 21, 2008
I made this for dessert last nite and it was soooooo yummy! I did change a few things, I didn't put raisins in because my bf doesn't like them, and I used the canned evaporated milk instead of reg. milk. And I too added cinnamon. I will keep making this one!

Sweet Irish Bread

Reviewed: Mar. 17, 2008
I made this bread for St Patty's Day, and it was extremely easy to make! My family all loved it and have asked for the recipe. I will keep making this for years to come! I have to make it without raisins for one person, but it is still a yummy bread! Its great toasted, or if you let it sit for a bit, you can use it for french toast as well.

Pie Crust Mix

Reviewed: Mar. 17, 2008
This was exactly the recipe I needed. I've now shared it with the rest of the women in the family who sometimes are rushed as well. My only mistake was after rolling out the crust, I put it in the fridge, and didn't take it out to let it come to room temp before working with it. So it was falling apart. Luckily that didn't matter so much for what I needed it for. I will continue to use this recipe for many more pies and dumplings!
