Our Garden Harvest 7-2010
About this Cook
I am 46 years old, married with 4 kids. 23 yrs, 14 yrs, 12 yrs, and 7 yrs. Busy with sports and family in general! Love every minute of it. I try to cook a good meal 3 times a week. Good meaning something hearty and tasty - taking approx 1-2 hours to prepare and cook.
My favorite things to cook
Stir Fry, any chicken dish, spicy dishes, easy and some time consuming dishes. Home made Mac & Cheese and other pastas that are kid friendly dishes. Anything with fresh herbs and veggies from our garden.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Family makes everything from scratch, so I try to do just that. We make a lot of BBQ on the grill (husband), so I am usually making the sides. Sweet Rice is a dish that I make very often, recipe from family.
My cooking triumphs
Thanksgiving at our house for family in 2009. Everything turned out great with help from mother-in-law!
My cooking tragedies
First meal for husband, then boyfriend. Burnt the meatballs for spaghetti. He never lets me live that down!

Broccoli and Sausage Cavatelli
This is so good. I used spicy breakfast in place of the italian sausage and fresh broccoli which you have to cook a little longer. We love this!
