Fajita Seasoning

Reviewed: Aug. 10, 2013
This was awesome! I omitted the corn starch because I'm on a low-carb diet and it still was just absolutely phenomenal. I'll be making this one again and again!

Beef and Blue Cheese Stuffed Mushrooms

Reviewed: Aug. 10, 2013
These were ok, but my husband and I both felt that the blue cheese was pretty overwhelming in this one. The steak seasoning was a nice addition and the beef was great!

Simple Mexican Coleslaw

Reviewed: Aug. 10, 2013
I don't like leaving negative reviews, but we really couldn't stand this. I even tried to fix it with the other reviewers tips...still pretty bad. The only thing "Mexican" about this is the cilantro, as written. Very little flavor, and the flavor it has is not good.

Barbie's Tuna Salad

Reviewed: Aug. 8, 2013
Unfortunately as written this one really didn't work for me- so I played with it until it did. I doubled the parmesan, upped the garlic powder to 1/4 tsp, and added 1/4 tsp onion powder, 1/4 tsp paprika, 1/2 tsp celery seed, 1/2 tsp black pepper, 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes, and 1 tsp sriracha. If I were to make this again I would also back way off on the mayo, it was just swimming in it.

Overnight Pork Roast With Cabbage

Reviewed: Aug. 6, 2013
Hard to rate this correctly as I changed the cut of meat and cooking method. I used a pork roast in the crock pot. Husband did not like the flavor of caraway on the cabbage, but the meat turned out well.

Beef Sirloin Tip Roast with Mushrooms

Reviewed: Aug. 5, 2013
This was bad. The meat was tough and salty. This could easily be remedied- turn this into a crock pot recipe, use 50/50 beef broth to water to cover meat. Also needs pepper. As is, my husband and daughter only ate enough not to be rude and afterwards let me know just how bad it had been.

Walnut Cinnamon Swirl

Reviewed: Jul. 29, 2013
Made with pecans instead of walnuts, just due to personal preference. Made as a loaf rather than ring. Did not top with additional pecans. Very tasty! It's just fine on it's own at room temp...but warm it up for a few seconds or toast and top with butter and it's awesome! Also makes phenomenal french toast!

Beef and Broccoli Stir-Fry from Birds Eye®

Reviewed: Jul. 29, 2013
This worked very well a a quickly thrown together meal, definitely nice recipe to have around when running short on time. I did let the meat sit in soy sauce and sriracha for a couple of hours before cooking. Ground fresh black pepper over meat while cooking. Served over drained ramen noodles because my daughter begs for them :-)

Tortilla Moo Shu Pork

Reviewed: Jul. 26, 2013
Loved it! Used a pork roast, cooked in crock pot with Asian seasonings covered with liquid before shredding. Cut ginger down to about 1 1/2 Tbsp. Cooked cabbage and carrots with meat mixture. Serving with sriracha really did great things for this dish.

Unfortunately we didn't enjoy this at all. The sesame oil was entirely too overpowering.

Winter Blossom's Often Requested Ham Salad

Reviewed: Jul. 24, 2013
I subbed sweet relish because that's what I had on hand. I thought it was pretty plain as written, so I added 1 tsp dill, 1/2 tsp black pepper, 1/2 tsp paprika, 1/4 tsp cumin, and 1 tsp sriracha. I didn't like it plain, it was ok on a sandwich, but wow...swerved on celery sticks it was absolutely amazing!! Next time I will definitely use fresh minced onion. UPDATE: This is now my go-to recipe, and it's perfect with the changes that I make. My husband begs me to make it!
