My favorite things to cook
I love to cook a complete meal. Nothing fancy, just good food; even better when everyone in the family likes it (there are different preferences, likes/dislikes which can be a challenge.) Always looking for healthy. A balanced meal that has some meat (protein,) hopefully not too much fat. The less healthy a portion of the meal is, the more I like to balance the meal out with healthy vegies! It's always great when low-fat items can be substituted for higher-fat, and still get a great taste! Healthify recipes whenever possible!!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Involve the kids, especially as they get older so they can be self-sufficient.
My cooking triumphs
Making many lasagnas at once, like a conveyor line (sauce from scratch) for family and freezer.
My cooking tragedies
Stuffed peppers. We still joke about those stuffed peppers I cooked in the microwave (used the cookbook that came with the microwave) that tasted so horrible.

Chicken Parmesan Bake
I tried a few Chicken Parm recipes recently. This one is the winner so far. Quick, easy, healthy... my kids and the neighbor kids loved it! The garlic toast on the side, or placed under the chicken when serving was a hit with the kids. Will be making this recipe from now on.

Kathy's Delicious Whole Slow Cooker Chicken
I had a 5.5 lb whole chicken, so this is what I used. I doubled the sauce. The flavor was fantastic. This recipe is definitely a keeper for us. For our family (not that this was a bad recipe,) I would make this again, but I'd try 6 chicken breast halves instead. Reason- we didn't like all the bones and other 'stuff' in this dish. Would love to know if anyone has altered this recipe for anything other than a whole chicken, including other kinds of meat... anyone?

Marinated Ranch Broiled Chicken
I followed the recipe exactly. It was ok. Convenient; maybe good to make ahead and freeze for later use.
